Quentin Tarantino’s Final Film Is Coming as Filmmaker Readies ‘The Movie Critic’

I like Tarantino movies. Pulp fiction is as good as almost any movie made....imo. I can't say he's the best though. But that's like debating my favorite chocolate. There are so many that are so good. And Tarantino is very good at what he does.

for his final foray, which film will Q be ripping off paying homage to this time around?

“The Best” is always a fools errand discussion. Make a list of those that should be considered, than have fun.

QT
FFC
Scorsese
Kubric
Hitchcock
Spielberg
Cameron

Anyone who likes Reservoir Dogs should also like The Hateful Eight. They are very similar movies. Both take place almost entirely in the same setting as the plot is played out through wonderfully written dialogue as a who did it sort of mystery plays out to an eventual very violent finish.

One of Samuel L Jackson's best performances. Up their with what I would consider his other two best roles of Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained. Everyone else in the movie also does a great job. Only performance I don't love in it is Tim Roth's who I feel like is trying to do an impersonation of how Christoph Waltz would have played that character if he were cast for it.
The blowjob scene was super hot too.

Why make casino when you already made Goodfellas. Same for Departed. It’s just weak.
Casino I can kinda, begrudgingly grant you, given that Goodfellas and Godfather already existed (I don’t necessarily agree, but I can grant you the argument).

But Departed brought something new to the genre. Having a chess match between two undercover double agents trying to figure out each other’s identity was wild. The phone call where not a single word was spoken was pressure personified.

Hateful 8 is very much a movie cut out of the same basic mold as Reservoir Dogs. Not as good as RD, but still good in it’s own right.

I actually meant to write Wolf Wallstreet. But Departed is its own horrid mess. It’s just a vehicle for great actors. It’s not even a decent movie.
Mid level mafia thugs throw a Boston pd police captain over the side of a building because their intel in a potential mole didn’t pan out? This is a major plot point in this movie? Laughable.

It obviously comes down to preference but I do enjoy The Hateful Eight more. Just a much more cinematic film with a great composed soundtrack. Best example of this is the opening scene. Also it's just genuinely funny at times.

Fun fact…

For all scenes in that movie that take place in the stage coach while it is moving, these scenes were actually shot in a real, moving stage coach that is being pulled by a truck.

My brother was the driver of that truck.

Bad take. RD is a completely different movie, and H8 I thought was shitty throughout

How are they completely different movies?

These are both movies that mostly take place in the same setting as the entire movie is built around a mystery (Who is the mole/undercover in RD and who is the member of Domergue's gang) and that mystery is played out pretty much entirely through dialogue in that same setting which leads to a very violent death filled finish.

If you can't notice the obvious similarities in the movie then you're just a fucking retard.

I can't stand the hateful 8, and have never been able to finish it. It sucks.

Sounds like a you problem. You'd probably be much better off watching a Marvel movie or Avatar. That seems more up your alley.

I can tell by your posts you're total geenze.

You should check out the movie Captain Marvel this weekend. I think that's perfect for your tastes.

Eh. I much prefer reservoir dogs to hateful eight. Thought I was going to like the latter but it felt really long to me.
