Godzilla x Kong comes out at the end of the month.

Maybe they release G-1 before that to drum up interest.

The G-1 blue ray comes out May 1st.
Maybe blue ray sales in Japan are the shiznit?

It was already released and the most successful Godzilla movie from Japan in United States box office. Now an Oscar winner. It will be picked up by a streaming service.

Watched it this weekend. It's very good. Now I'm not the biggest Godzilla fan, (don't hate them, don't love them) but I think its easily the best one ever made.

You know you can choose the original language on Netflix right?

That being said, it was ok, some good effects, but overall kind of meh.

I don't know if going with the original and subtitles would have been better.
I watched a 2 hour monster movie with what, 20' of monster.

And I actually liked Monarch : Legacy of Monsters on Apple TV.
The non-monster parts of that TV show were interesting.

I started watching it dubbed and made it about 5 minutes until I switched back to the original language. What I've found is that usually the dubbing, while it may be correct in the translation, doesn't convey the same tones, inflections, emotions etc. While it was better with the original language, it was still kind of meh. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.

Just watched it. By far the best godzilla movie I've ever seen. Surprising very strong on the emotional drama side.
