When my great uncle’s health got bad and he couldn’t really stop just anyone from fishing in his lake, me and my buddies picked up every piece of trash the lowlifes left on the banks and scooped out all we could from the lake. Me and my buddy’s are the only people allowed to fish there now since my great uncle’s son inherited that property and put up a gate with a lock

I would say not littering and picking up the litter in my area is "doing something about it". Is it world saving? I suppose not?
But acting like I can't criticize the act of littering because I haven't cleaned up the whole world, is pretty asinine.

Littering does piss me off. It ruins good things for every one.

There used to a farmer in Cartersville that had the only boat ramp to access the Etowah River the public could use south of the Lake Allatoona dam. Honor system too, put in a few bucks, put your boat in and run it up to the old mill dam and catch the hell out of striper. Fuckers kept leaving trash behind, farmer put up a gate, and now if you wanna put a boat in the river below the damn, you better know someone with a house and a private ramp
