#25 MD who finished 7-6 (Not Ranked)
#3 Clemson who finished 11-2 (#8)
#7 Miami who finished 9-4 (Not Ranked)
#20 Duke who finished 10-4 (#23)

Oh yeah they were terrific against bad teams outside the Clemsoning era of Clemson.

No doubt they had a bad schedule, maybe you aren't smart enough to separate strength of schedule vs strength of team?

You said if there was a CFP that year, they would have been beaten. I'm trying to figure out who's beating them between Alabama(if they were selected, which I doubt) or Stanford or Michigan State? Lmao.
 
1. Trump made it worse. If the concern was college presidents with a political agenda it probably made some more likely to say fuck it the season is off despite other conferences showing they could make it work. From a political standpoint it's interesting he stepped into a conference in the midwest but stayed away from the west coast. He tried to make it political but teams are playing in spite of him, not because of him. They saw other conferences pull it off and were getting dragged in recruiting. That's why they are playing now.

2. Nebraska is fucked. They tried to pull rank on the conference and were told to sit down. They are going to wish the refs call their conference games as close as Iowa State gets it against Texas.

3. Cold weather will be fine. I've seen a ton of Big 12 games where everyone is freezing their ass off. It's a fall sport and it gets cold in the midwest. No biggie there.

4. I reserve the right to call out data points when a 7-0 Ohio State gets in over a 10-1 Oklahoma State. They made the mistake of starting the season late and must deal with the consequences.

yup, and they had a combined 18 players drafted in 2014 + 2015

they beat #8 Clemson by 37 points in Death Valley

while i was looking that up, I noticed Miami had 9 players drafted in 2017. jesus, nobody has underachieved like Miami since 2005.

They were weak and lucky to beat AU in the championship who were offensively challenged as well.

LMAO at great.. the ou teams that have lost in the CFP would run roughshot over that noles team..

LOL what a weak grasp at straws.. CLemson was full on CLEMSONING and Miami was a good win because they had 7 draft picks?!? LOL quit acting like they were the 2001 canes.. FSU was one of the WEAKEST BCS champs ever.

and my thoughts about Miami having 9 draft picks in 2017 was completely independent of my thoughts on their 2013 team. hence the "has anyone underachieved more than they have" comment.

You pretty much have been wrong about everything here. Wow. Auburn was a top 10 offense that season, it was their defense that wasn't great.

Starting with OU's 2015 team
Sagarin: 91.50, 94.31, 90.99, 93.37

None of them even come close to that fsu team.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess the 2nd best national champion offense of the last 50 years is going to be able to score on defenses that were ranked 58th, 92nd and 44th in the last 3 years respectively. Lmao.

Going to go Capt Obvious on ya but back in August when all the announcements were made with the PAC and BIG forgoing football, a couple of the tOSU fans were passionate in terms of this happening. For more details on weather, sports and AG coming out - check back at 11 o'clock tonight.
