Movie Elvis (2022)

Elvis actually brought these black performers into mainstream radio. James Brown said Elvis helped popularize black artists. They owe a debt of gratitude to him.
oh for fucks sake

"thanks for stealing our music and making it popular, white Jesus"

Elvis reminds me of Tom Jones.

Not that Tom Jones. Tom Jones was a basset hound in the small town I grew up in. He was the town dog. No one owned him, but everyone fed him. Fat as fuck was Tom Jones. Just like Elvis.

The black artists thanked Elvis more making them popular with a mainstream audience.

Surprised at how at how well the movie has done. There have been so many movies done about Elvis and the people who listened to him are mostly over 70 years of age

Many younger people like me have listened to his music which is available on YouTube and other venues. The man had a memorable career and is still popular 45 years after his death.

I saw this thread early this morning.

Was a bit surprised when I saw there were now 80+ comments.

Was not letdown at all to see it was a group Body bagging of White Knight.

Not 32 million people, you silly dildo. $31.1MM opening day box office. I'd ask if you read the article you posted, but I know better.

For perspective, Top Gun: Maverick had a $160.5MM opening weekend.

Someone should also let our board idiot know that people buy their ticket BEFORE seeing and forming their opinion on a movie. And that box office sales do not directly correlate to quality.

I am actually a little pissed off I even had to mention this.
