I usually measure my team's worth based on how drunk I am by the 2nd quarterYou measure your worth by how your football teams fairs in title games. How sad.

I used 5 because of how completely different football is today from 5 years ago - with the transfer portal, NIL, coaching changes, etc. For who the elite programs are NOW -- if you've averaged roughly 4 losses a year over the past 10 years -- you aren't in the top tier of elite teams. So you are only elite based on the last 5 years?
That seems more like a trend.
Yeah -- I hear ya -- Maryland is TOUGH. They once only lost by 21 to Michigan. So I can see how they beat Texas not once, but twice.![]()

But I bet your school won't smack us around you homo
P5 schedules and G5 schedules are completely different. So not sure how Louisiana-Lafayette would be used as a comparison?Wins/Losses are NOT everything. Under that logic, Louisiana-Lafayette was elite last year with 11-1 record.
I can tell you with a straight face that Wisconsin played LSU in one of those kickoff games 4 or 5 years ago and beat LSU.Can you tell me with a straight face that a team like Clemson or Wisconsin plays a schedule like LSU?
“Stats are for fags” - @TigerBait1971I used 5 because of how completely different football is today from 5 years ago - with the transfer portal, NIL, coaching changes, etc. For who the elite programs are NOW -- if you've averaged roughly 4 losses a year over the past 10 years -- you aren't in the top tier of elite teams.
This should help:
Florida State has 42 losses the last 10 years.
Florida has 46 losses the last 10 years.
Auburn has 52 losses the last 10 years.
LSU has 37 losses the last 10 years.
Georgia has 28 losses the last 10 years.
Clemson has 17 losses the last 10 years.
Ohio State has 13 losses the last 10 years.
Alabama has 13 losses the last 10 years.
Let me know when you see a trend and a clear difference between who the top tier elite teams are and who the 2nd tier is? If you'd like me to the same list for the past 5 years -- I can do that too and nothing would change.
And I can tell you the year before LSU played Wisconsin in one of those games and beat WisconsinI can tell you with a straight face that Wisconsin played LSU in one of those kickoff games 4 or 5 years ago and beat LSU.
And I can tell you the year before LSU played Wisconsin in one of those games and beat Wisconsin
First year the game was played in Houston. LSU won
The second game was played in Green Bay and Wisconsin won.
So, now what?
Doesn't matter who started it, the Michigan Man made the quote. I guess he's a Michigan fan, haven't really been paying attention.Ask the Vols fan. He started it.
Nothing. Play the team in front of you.And I can tell you the year before LSU played Wisconsin in one of those games and beat Wisconsin
First year the game was played in Houston. LSU won

I am skeptical the Big 12 is gonna add Oregon St or Wazzu. They'll have to suck it up and join the MWC or something.B1G, SEC, and Big XII should carve up and eliminate the PAC & ACC by each increasing to 22 members. No exit fees or GOR to worry about because the PAC & ACC will no longer exist... A conference needs 6 members in order to exist.
A 22 member conference will eliminate divisions... 9 conference games will be played, with 3 being annually protected for each team... thus all 21 conference opponents can be faced in a 3 year span under such a 3--6-6-6 schedule format.
Here are school suggestions for increasing the B1G, SEC, and Big XII to 22 members each:
B1G adds 6 more: Notre Dame, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Virginia, Duke
SEC adds 6 more: Florida State, Miami, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech
Big XII adds 10 more: All 7 remaining PAC schools (Arizona, ASU, Utah, Colorado, Cal, Oregon State, Washington State), Georgia Tech, Pitt, Louisville
This leaves Wake, Syracuse, and Boston College out... those 3 schools would probably receive a modest settlement from the 3 super conferences... here's a hypothetical settlement example: all 66 super conference members each kick-in $3 million, so that Wake, Syracuse, and BC each receive a $66 million settlement payoff.
Finally... the three 22 member super conferences have their own combined playoff & championship. The Group of 5 conferences combined with FBS independents have their own playoff & championship.
.
They beat my 13-0 Broncos in the Cotton Bowl somewhere in there.did Wisconsin ever play for a BCS title in that stretch.. or for a CFP title?
Yeah but just in general, the longer road trips can't help. Take Tennessee with our schedule.
We play the following Annually:
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Georgia
South Carolina
Missouri
Florida
Alabama
SEC West
3 OOC home games
1 OOC home/away game
Compare that to USC who plays
Arizona
Arizona State
Colorado
Utah
UCLA
Possibly 4 teams from North (Oregon, Washington, Wash State, Oregon State, Cal or Stanford)
With the exceptions of UCLA and the Arizonas, I think all of Tennessee's opponents are closer geographically. Tennessee definitely doesn't have to travel near as far as USC for games with the exception of the one random SEC West opponent sometimes and the OOC game that is away. Missouri and Florida are kind of far as well but I think teams like Colorado and Utah are further out for USC.
I agree with what someone else posted a couple of days ago...the travel will be tougher on basketball and baseball. Because football is only played once a week, for them it's just a couple more hours on a plane each way. But basketball teams play 2-3 games per week.
LSU is now on par with Wisconsin. And I can tell you the year before LSU played Wisconsin in one of those games and beat Wisconsin
First year the game was played in Houston. LSU won
The second game was played in Green Bay and Wisconsin won.
So, now what?
lol again parading other schools yours didn't do..Yeah -- I hear ya -- Maryland is TOUGH. They once only lost by 21 to Michigan. So I can see how they beat Texas not once, but twice.
As I said -- thank Oklahoma for letting you tag along to the SEC. I'm sure Texas will figure out how to tackle once you get into the SECMaryland scored 85 points on Texas in 2 games (Michigan has given up 54 in 6 games against Maryland). Let's not forget the 57 that Kansas hung on Texas. I don't think there is a worse tackling team in all of college football -- that should do wonders for you in the SEC, where they don't have any good offenses. That is why it is humorous to hear you say people hate Texas. No one hates Texas outside the Big 12 -- no one thinks about Texas outside the Big 12, because they have been irrelevant for so long.
