USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

A guess on who those 28 are as of right now:

Minnesota
Wisconsin
Iowa
Nebraska
Illinois
Northwestern
Indiana
Purdue
Michigan
Michigan State
Ohio State
Penn State
Maryland
Rutgers

USC
UCLA
Notre Dame
Washington
Oregon
Stanford
UNC
Clemson
Georgia Tech (Thank Note Dame)
Virginia Tech
Miami

That gets me up to 25. Unsure on who the other 3 would be. Not totally convinced 28 is the final number if Fox and ESPN continue to duke it out, even if the slices get smaller.

Would come down to these schools for the remaining spots I am guessing in no real order:

Cal
Virginia (Do they opt for the SEC?)
NC State
Duke (Yes, Duke)
Kansas
Colorado
Arizona
Iowa State

Good point, we might stop talking about B1G/SEC expansion and call it FOX/ESPN expansion.

This is the correct way to look at it. If certain assets are under ESPN control, moving them to another conference under ESPN control doesn't make a ton of sense.

look i hate to use this term.. but you are an idiot if you think that WI isn't ahead of LSU.. WI is more consistent with wins..yes they will never win the big enchilada...or even compete for one in a CFP.. HOWEVER they won't have a losing season like LSU did in 2020..

So LSU can have it's two BCS titles and CFP title.. the real winners who get to take home the prom queen and fuck her are the ones that finish .500 or better!!!!!

LMAO... the Titans finished #1 in NFL in regular season but no one will remember that because they lost in the opener to Cincinnati.

Tennessee Baseball was #1 in the Nation before getting punked by Notre Dame.

No one gives a shit about regular season. No one remembers it. Plus not to mention, Wisconsin plays in the shit division of the B1G. The B1G loaded the East division and left the West with basically no one but Iowa and Wisconsin (well Nebraska is supposed to be good but we see how that is).

Would you rather win a Super Bowl or have the best regular season over 5-6 years? Wisconsin is like the Minnesota Vikings, they never make it to the dance.

it is, all reports is that FOX helped push SC and UCLA to the BiG

..if we really are being honest here.. the BiG needed SC/UCLA brands.. which is why the desperately want ND too

Football Bluebloods
BiG- tosu, um, nu, SC (want ND)
SEC- UT,ou,bama

Since the BCS era..Titles
BiG-tosu (2X), SC
SEC- ou, UT, Bama (6X)

however if you look at the schools in that next tier
BiG- psu, msu, wi, iowa no BCS or CFP titles
SEC- fl (2X), LSU (3X), tn, auburn, uga

Imagine what the BiG would look if you took out tosu.. Sure some can say what about Bama.. but if you look at it, there's teams ready to jump in place and have a go at it.

Not exactly sure how the SEC does it, other than having the hotbeds of recruiting (FL, TX, GA), but they have more variety when compared to the BiG.

Again, ESPN would have much more control.. why? cause it owns the ACC right now til 2035 or so. They would be the ones picking and choosing which schools SEC takes in first when it comes to the ACC.

Let Fox gobble up all those other schools that are currently in the Pac, Big12.. are they as valuable? outside of ND, Stanford, Oregon? Not so much..

I doubt either league is going to have a lot of success with ACC initially due to GOR. They are probably dealing with the teams under the table but I would be surprised if we see any ACC teams announce they are leaving this season.

I think it is coming but not now.

All eyes are on Notre Dame right now.

(I also don't see Clemson going to B1G. This is why I don't believe the tweet posted by Top Gun).

As well as the Big2 breaking away from the NCAA and the left behinds Staying WITH the new revamped NIL era NCAA to try and fend for themselves.

Lets be real ESPN has more leverage in the ACC than the presidents/ADs do

Clemson, VT, and Miami aren't AAU so they won't be getting in. B1G is serious about that and always has been. For ND they may make an exception but not these other 3. They'll want Virginia, maybe Duke if it will get them UNC. Iowa State can forget it. Kansas or Colorado are possible.

Nitpicking but doesn't Aubie have a BCS natty and another BCS title game appearance?

The top of the SEC has been much better than the rest of the conferences combined. That isn't opinion, the results indicate so.

yeah they won the first BCS bowl game.. Also if you the 2nd tier of SEC schools, they have done better than the second tier of BiG schools too.

Which is why I get the whole, it's Bama or nothing..but why doesn't the BiG get the same slack when only 1 of their schools have won a championship.. hell has another BiG school played for a title since the BCS era?

Edit** Looked it up.. Nebraska played for the championship in 2001

?

Not sure what this means. In 1998, here was the BCS Bowl games:

Rose Bowl: Wisconsin 38, UCLA 31
Sugar Bowl: Ohio State 24, Texas A&M 14
Orange Bowl: Florida 31, Syracuse 10 (yes Syracuse made a BCS Bowl and won Big East that year)
National Title/Fiesta Bowl: Tennessee 23, Florida State 16

I don't see Auburn anywhere. I remember this season very well.
