Who wins 9 or more and why... or why not?

SC has a very favorable schedule. IF they can't pull out 9 wins from that line-up, we'll deserve to be in DEEP doo-doo...

USC and texas are both coming off losing seasons. 9 wins might be a stretch.
Those are the two teams i can't wait to watch this year. If Texas sucks again -- someone may need to check on Sark, as he may fall off the wagon, as they have zero excuses to be that bad.

USC -- I just want to see what they will be with everyone who has transferred in. We know they have the talent, but can the new staff put it together for them in such a short time.

Yes -- SC had better get to 9 wins too. That is a really soft schedule.

USC - yes: Caleb Williams + Riley + Addison will be the best offense in the Pac
FSU - no: QB Jordan Travis can make some plays but WRs and overall team is something left to be desired
NCST - yes: Fuck Dave Clawson but they do return alot on defense and their QB can manage a game
Nebraska - no: Casey Thompson didn't do much for my fantasy team last year. He's just a lateral move from Adrian Martinez
Texas - no: As a armchair HS scout, from what I've seen from Ewers, he will struggle at UTjr. Luckily they will have the next great Manning to take over in 2023.
KSU - yes: I don't anything about this team besides I like their fight song.
Oregon - yes: Don't see Dan Lanning doing any worst than Mario having the best talent in the Pac
LSU - no: WR Kayshon Boutee is a stud and maybe a future 1st rounder but I have no faith in the QB room there. Also LSU looks like they gave up the last two seasons, there's a lot of clean-up work for BK to handle.
OU - yes: The defense was heading in the right direction under Alex Grinch. Brent V has a good foundation to start on defense and he was always good at Clemson forming a defensive gameplan with the players he had. Depending on recovery from injury, Dillon Gabriel could be one of the better QBs in the country.

As you said, a wide open QB position.
Lost some good players thru the portal and picked up some good players but everything will be new. As of now, I have little faith in BK, but this being his 1st season and the clean-up work you mentioned, this should be a honeymoon season for him. Should get a pass on a mediocre season.
I don't know where people are thinking the 9 wins are coming from. IMO a 4-4 SEC record. If 8 was the o/u, I'd bet the under.
Hope BK proves me wrong.

Well, gotta think Williams will easily transition by already knowing Woody's offense and could have a monster year, I almost think that 9 wins should be expected with that slate but.. we'll see I guess.

What have ya heard on John Emery? He supposed to be a stud if he gets his head on straight, correct?

This is the mystery meat.

Lets take a look at that schedule:

Duquesne - WTH is that? W
LSU in New Orleans - Ok we'll get to see what each has here, toss up maybe FSU favorite is the favorite, give em the W
@ Louisville- could be an L
Boston College- W imo
Wake Forest - Home coming, W
@ NC State- State could be real good I hear, say a L here
Clemson- I look for Clemson to have a bounce back year,Losing the DC hurt em? meh, prob another L here
GT- W
@ Miami- Rivalry game, could be a good one, Give Maimi the W for home field
@ Syracuse- W
Louisiana- W
Florida- Who knows how good or bad Florida will be this year, AR-15 may be finishing strong and capping off a good season OR the players may quit on their coach again late in the year so... toss up, give FSU the W since its at home I guess.

Ima say 8 max with a shot to upset a team and/or drop one they shouldn't, could be a solid year for FSU but I think they miss the 9 win mark.

Cooks, Polian and Denbrock were on BK’s staff at ND. Polian was okay at special teams but his real value is as a recruiter. I just don’t think BK devoted much time to special teams so we’ll see what he does down there.

Denbrock and Cooks are mediocre at best.

I think Texas gets to 9 if they win a bowl game. KSU seems to be everyone's favorite right now, but I don't see them doing better than what they did a year ago. They plan on using Martinez to run the ball more than throw it.. defenses are going to figure it out.

As for the arm chair QB evaluator on Quinn.. You can bash him for his handoffs at tosu last season but if you are going by his soph and jr high school games.. he's the real deal. He put on shows vs the best defenses in 6A football.. even when they got eliminated by Duncanville (soph) and by Westlake (jr) in the playoffs. Go look at Elite 11 champion Arnold vs Westlake last season, he STRUGGLED.

Dave Clawson coaches Wake Forest. and if you slander Coach Clawson again I will destroy you the same way Big Ten coeds destroy cake

LSU - Probably. Like most LSU HC’s, BK just oozes cringe but he’s a good coach.
Saban, Miles, Orgeron....

These coaches were groomed at LSU to become National Championship Winners. We'll see what we can do with this new hire. He shows potential.

Kelly left Notre Dame as the winningest coach in school history, and led the Irish to 54 wins over the last five seasons. That’s not easy to do considering the geography and academic standards.

We'll try and bring him to the next level.....
