With the exception of Nebraska and Northwestern, all of these games are crap. I may watch the Vandy at Hawaii game for just entertainment value but nothing else interests me.

Jacksonville St vs SFA I'll watch. Deion + #1 recruit + home state school = worth a few minutes of my day.

Early in the season I get excited to watch ANY football games. And I have a few viewing interests because of the B10 teams playing+ UCONN who we face early in the season.

I'm not entirely sure why they didn't make the Nebraska/NW game an 8:00pm game in Ireland, which would have made it a 3:00pm game here? 11:30am is 8:30am on the West Coast (AKA Big Ten country :laugh3:)

EDIT neverminded, I see that's in CT. Still unnecessarily early.

It's still 9:30am isn't it? I guess just pour the beer right in the cereal, a la Pat Green.

And I'm the same way, which is the only reason I care about the first preseason game. "It's football!!!!" and then 30 seconds in I'm watching whatever else is on TV.

I like to throw them on the ipad and just kind of carry them around the house wherever I am, or sitting out on the deck. I just love seeing it and having the sound of football on in the background. Especially if I'm grilling or cooking outside.

ha, too true. I'm interested to see if one player can make the entire team better, or does the rest of the team suck to a point where the experiment screws smaller schools from ever getting a top player again.

well damn. I knew as I was thinking about it that "Jacksonville state doesn't sound exactly right" but couldn't place why. Yeah, he's at Jackson St. Jackson St starts 9/4 against Florida A&M.

Now if I watch that game it is just because of state pride.

I'll watch the Nebraska game, of course. But I'll also watch the UCONN game, as my granddaughter will be a freshman there and will be in their traveling band.
