The Great White Heron is what we always called them. I live about 5 miles from the Mississippi River and there are thousands of them around.
They are herons. Actually they are blue herons. Some sorta of subspecies I think.
 
So… I walk in on daughter #2 and daughter #3 having a fight:

Daughter #2: Yeah, but you’ve got Elton John teeth.

Daughter #3: What does that mean!?!?

Daughter #2: It doesn’t matter what you do to them. They aren’t ever going to be straight.

I really wanted to be mad about this. But I just couldn’t.

Whoooooweee last weekend before school, daughter has friends coming over to swim and sleepover. Supposed to be 101 and a fuck off heat index to boot.

Wonder how much I escape into these parts
