Well, not many days left until the best time of the year. So, media outlets, we know Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State are probably in. So, for the rest of us, what is the lowest your team can go, and you be okay with? Considering losing coordinators, new coaches coming in, decent to good or even great players moving to other programs, etc.

I say 5-7 for Virginia Tech.

As long as we don't lose to scUM again

8-4

How about not losing to a fucking FCS team this year. That'd be great.

I’ll take 9-3 I guess. A thorough bludgeoning of the bearcats & the bulls would definitely make me happy.

Anything worse than that would be a steaming pile of failure.

11-1. I can see an upset at some point ... Bama only has 2 undefeated regular seasons during their unreal run ... it's not easy to do that back to back.

I’m not gonna be too terribly distraught if 5 losses or so happen again tbh. I’m not buying all the hype just yet. Offense should be good but laying down playing dead by opposing defenses can slow it down and who really knows about the defense and special teams so, gotta have all that nailed down to start getting big expectations and imo UT just ain’t there yet.

I will accept no more than 8 plays away from being undefeated.

8-4 Alamo Bowl type season. I think we have the potential to win the conference and get pile driven in the playoffs but if we are in the conference championship discussion come November I'll be ok with it.

My floor is 6-6 I think the ceiling is 8-4

Anything short of a 14-1 natty is regression and regression is never acceptable

First year for Freeman, new QB, scary thin levels of depth at WR and a little better at RB I’ll cut him them a little slack. 8-5 is the lowest I’ll put up with but it better be a one off not an every other year event like the last guy.

Ideally I’d like them to take at least 2/3 from Oh.St. Clemson and USC but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was 1/3 or 0/3. Every other game they should win.

If you average every first year head coach since WWII for Notre Dame, you are looking at an 8-4 regular season this year.
