GAME Nebraska @ #3 Oklahoma | 11:00am | FOX

Yea which is why I am a bit miffed we fired frost but not chinander...frosts boy...

Frost couldn't make the necessary personnel decisions which is why he got to where he is .. chinander should have been gone already

That's basically Clay Helton at USC. He was far too loyal to assistants who weren't getting the job done.

Seems like some guys from G5 level programs want to "share the wealth" with guys who helped them get there, but can't pull the trigger to cut them loose when they show they aren't ready for that stage. By the time Helton figured out he needed to change out his assistants, it was already too late and the guys he replaced them with weren't much better.

A lot of what I've read as far as quotes from Frost over the past few years has sounded a lot like what I heard out of Helton over the past few years..."we're working hard on that", "it'll be better next week/year", "we're really close" etc. Never anything to hold players/coaches accountable. It often sounds like they're "covering for someone" because they kind of are.

Imo, whoever the Huskers hire, needs to be someone who will move on quickly from players and coaches who aren't getting the job done. They need someone who will do like Lincoln Riley has done. He got rid of all but one assistant at USC and then used the portal to bring in something like 25 new players. Needless to say...he has every player and coach giving him their undivided attention. lol

The good is whoever comes in next doesnt have to unfuck what mike riley did to the weight room and practices

it sucks that frost had to learn this lesson here and maybe its a lesson he doesnt want to have to use and at G5 he can get away with being loyal. maybe he goes back to that level so he can just do his thing and have lower expectations. He'll still go down in history for his ridiculous streak of 1 score losses, the worst part is we've hung with everyone we played including Michigan and Ohio State so its not like our players cant ball

Let’s look at who got the ax instead of Chinader.
1). Troy Walters
2). Ryan Held
3). Mario Verduzco
4). Jovan Dewitt
5). Greg Austin
6). Matt Lubbick
7). Scott Frost

And that just makes it tougher because it feels like you're really close. I'd be curious to see how many of those 1 score losses were the result of the opponent taking their foot off the gas and Nebraska getting a late score or 2, especially to teams like tOSU and Michigan?

At USC, we weren't losing to the Georgia Southerns of the world, or really even to lower/mid-level P5's...but every time we got in with the Alabama's, tOSU's etc. there was a clear difference in coaching and player development.

Hell, the year Alabama beat us 175-6 or whatever it was, we finished 10-3 and won the Rose Bowl. Then the next season we went 11-3, won the PAC and then got beat up by tOSU in the Cotton Bowl. So I know how it can feel like you're close. That's also right about the time Helton started really started losing the fanbase.

In addition to Frost, how many other Coaches have been let go so far ??

I doubt Chinander will be shielded from here on out. Accountability means facing the media and the tough questions. Trev alluded to MJ making adjustments to the defense which should include a demotion to position coach for Chinander at the minimum.

Either our Offense is 'holding back' or we have a lot of work to do.

We'll see Saturday.
Can you run the same plays that GA whatever fucking direction it was ran?
We have yet to stop them in the last two games.
