Herm Edwards is Fired

Herm should have stuck to broadcasting. He was good at it. He was pretty old going to the devils, and I don't think he did any "damage" there. Just not the right time for him to be a head coach anymore.

They are still dealing with NCAA investigations I believe. He certainly did damage.

Necessary evil, and most likely wouldn't be an issue these days

I would say chasing after Coach Bro, but their NFL counterpart is sticking with that mistake.
 
With Conference realignment hanging over their heads, it seems like a good time to up their game, raise tons of money, spend tons of money, and be more prepared for what is to come.

A 'look at me' moment as it were.
 
I just read an article on this and it said he was at ASU for five years. I can't believe it's been five years since he was hired it seems he just came on board a couple of years ago.

To be fair, despite what most expected to happen, he had the program headed in the right direction and they were looking like they were ready to at least get into the thick of the PAC Championship race.

But, the NCAA came sniffing around which cost them some assistant coaches and then the combination of the NCAA investigation, NIL and the transfer portal cost them a lot of good players.

He was already on thin ice because of the allegations, so once the players started leaving, it was a matter of time for him.

Not sure about bringing Urbs into a program that's under investigation given his baggage.
