It sounds like they are not coming now until 2025. I mean, why did we get this game cancelled by the SEC? At the very least, if we don't want a home-home mess up (which shouldn't really matter), could we have played it at a neutral site.

It would be fun to see Heupel versus Oklahoma.

Because there wasn’t time to work out a return game before OU joined the conference.

Second reason is the SEC wants first time matchup ratings to hit on the new network deal.

It’s really not that hard to understand and considering you guys dumped Army because it was too tough of a game I would think you would be relieved.

Army is 3-4. About the same record as Auburn.

Because the second game was scheduled to happen after Oklahoma joins the SEC

You know why ???

you dont want this tim meadows GIF

Isn’t there a rule about how many cupcake games you can schedule?

UCLA will have to reschedule Wisconsin and Northwestern home and homes.
Texas has UGA and Florida
surprised these havent been addressed yet.
seems like now would be the right amount of time to start finding replacements

Yeah, it just seemed like it was the OU games.

I think @outofyourmind is correct and it is more about the TV contracts than finding actual spot to make game work from a practical standpoint.

TV providers now runs the sport.

I actually feel a little bit for ou.. a tiny tiny bit.. for their fans

OOC schedule sucks for them
replacing next season's UGA home game with SMU?

I guess Tulsa will be their big game for next season and Tulane the following season?

Told a twitter sooner that i'm pretty cool with about it and he actually is happy, feels it helps with the rebuild for BV by not playing any killers in September. But hell.. i'm sure the season tix holder would like ONE good OOC game for september

Because OU is 3-1 vs Tenn. including sweeping in 2014 and 2015. Guessing they didn't want none.

That is the problem, I would love to get you guys when we are up and your are down like you got us in 2014 and 2015 with Butch Jones lol. Granted, OU coming to SEC will spread out the series more evenly.

It is hard to compare OOC series because sometimes teams play each other when the other team is just down. A conference slate is usually more transparent because you get opponents over a longer stretch of time.

It's all about the Benjamins. TN, OU, and the SEC all will make out MUCH better financially.
