Harsin is out

Matt Rhule. It seems he turned down lesser "shit shows" with a desire to fix the shit show left by Artie Boy, the AD and the Pres at Baylor. Sounds like he's your guy.
I have nothing against him. I am pissed at Yeller Wood and his lackeys in our athletic department.

Rhule is a great evaluator. He built a great roster at Baylor and Temple. Now can he deal with boosters and recruiting in the SEC? That I am not so sure about. The reason a lot of guys fail when they move up, isn’t because they can’t coach. It’s because they can not deal with the BS and recruiting at a major program.

Again I have no issues with Rhule but he would have to be stupid or desperate to take it. The cupboard is bare in large part to losing 2 classes and transfers to fired coaches and the smear campaign Yeller Wood instituted before NSD. This is our last three classes. Yeller Wood set us back at least five years in the last three.

Got rid of Lowder, Rane stepped up

That is totally understandable. I think the name of the game is 99.9% about recruiting. So who is perceived as the best recruiter out there.....

That's what I've heard...at least according to my Know It All Baylor Alumni Brother In Law. Rhule abhors the cesspool that is recruiting.

Grant Teaff is from my hometown, and he told some of his old classmates that still live here the same thing. So maybe my BIL isn't all wet...this time.

Or crazy. That's what I thought when he chose Baylor over some that were a lot less of a wreck. But, I was just "matching up" when I popped off about Rhule. I doubt he would be willing to recruit at the level needed. He also wouldn't be willing to put up with the type of shit old Yeller is pulling.

I imagine she has a job for life at Auburn or at least two years after what they pulled. Fire her and she file a harassment claim for dragging her through the mud with no proof.
Very true, she is probably a good recruiter.

I don’t like Harsin, but 5 games into his first year Auburn boosters were wanting to get rid of him. Makes it hard to recruit and keep the locker room focused. I don’t think he got a fair shake, but 15 mil to leave is not a bad deal either.

Deion Sanders to the rescue.

This is what I was thinking. Most coaches get a little time here and there to get "their players and scheme" into place. Man, Harsin didn't have a damn chance. I know it is Auburn, but damn, you bring this nobody fucker in and think he's gonna compete in less than two seasons in the SEC where you have to play Alabama and LSU every year. I remember what a lot of folks on Hooplanation were saying when Harsin was hired. It was like WTF? Who is he? Where did he come from? What does he know about SEC football? But 15 million to leave? Thank you and goodbye.

I am not an Auburn fan at all, but three coaches they could probably get that I think would do very well on the plains are Kiffin, Freeze or Sanders, but they will probably go after some lame ass like Campbell (who wouldn't last two years at Auburn either). Seriously, Dan Lanning is probably the man to get.
