I choose to fight

So, the stats are wrong because it's not fair when good offenses run up on your D!

GTFO

That was two really bad defenses on display Saturday.

Inflated due to Week 1 at Georgia and two pass happy offenses in Wazzu and UW.
So stats should only count when you play bad offenses like #96 California, #111 Stanford and #127 Colorado?

Wazzu has the #77 scoring offense so lol at complaining about them.

Wazzu is 40th in pass offense too. Not like they are some high level passing team this year.

Wazzu's QB highest yardage on the season was against Oregon. Shockingly. Over 100 yards above his season average.

The Duck defense is good. We have arguably the best LB core in the country with Sewell, Bassa, and Flowe. They cause turnovers and maybe most importantly when it comes to Red Zone defense, they are one of the best.
They are horrible pass defending LB’s. They were last year and once again this year. Against the run yes they are pretty good. All teams Oregon plays expose the hole in the field at 10-15 yards.

Problem is better teams don't need to run to beat them.

Oregon vs UNC would be one hell of a entertaining bowl game. Since neither can stop a pass.

First, I would've posted this yesterday, but after a groggy morning and logging in in the afternoon to see I had 55 damn notifications I decided to hit the "X" button. Yesterday was just not going to happen.

So, I am here today, after more than 24 hours after yet another PAC-12 officiaiting robbery, to offer my perspective and outlook on the rest of the Oregon Ducks football season. Because many may not be aware, after the AP and Coaches polls came out yesterday, they brought with them some rays of sunshines through the cloud.

The Ducks lost on Saturday and damn that pains me to type. But I refuse to give up on this team and this season just like I saw Oregon Ducks players REFUSE to give up on Saturday night. Bo Nix suffering an injury only to try and get back into the game and eventually getting back into the game was INSPIRATIONAL. Alex Forsyth, arguably our best Offensive Lineman and LEADER on the team REFUSED to give up and fight through injuries to where he couldn't even feel his arm and he is out there blocking. I tell you as I type this portion of my post, I have so much pride in this football team and program. They fought so hard and therefore I refuse to give up, just like they refused to give up.

The AP and Coaches polls left a door open, and although this season can still achieve great success like still winning the PAC-12 Championship and getting to the Rose Bowl, it wouldn't be the Oregon way to settle for such accomplishments. We want the 'ship. That's why you come to Oregon and be a Duck, to play in the College Football Playoffs and to WIN a national championship.

Let me roll out the following situation, mind you Oregon is as high as 12th in the country, with 2 teams ahead of them that they do and can still play;

1. Georgia wins out. Let's just give them that #1 spot, that means there are 3 coveted spots remaining. Let the chaos begin.

2. Illinois beats #3 Michigan. This can happen. In fact, I dont even see this that far fetched of an outcome. The Illini are a good team and capable of beating any B1G team, except maybe Ohio State. This gives Michgian 1 loss.

3. #4 TCU could easily lose any of their remaining games, especially the Big 12 championship game. This team is the biggest fraud in the top 10. Weak conference btw.

4. #2 Ohio State wins out and beats Michigan badly. With only Maryland and Michigan left, and a B1G title game, I see tOSU winning out, but they got to beat Michigan convincingly. That gives them the 2nd spot and now only 2 coveted spots remain in the CFP.

5. #5 Tennessee loses. Again, SEC schedule, anything can happen on any given Saturday.

6. #6 LSU of course loses to Georgia in the SEC title game. 3 loss team, GOOD BYE.

7. #9 Clemson has Miami (uggghh) South Carolina and UNC left. All possible losses for a shaky Clemson team. One more loss for Clemson and they are OUT.

8. #7 USC beats UCLA and wins out and gets a spot in the PAC-12 Championship game.

9. #12 Oregon wins out. It's that simple. Beats #10 Utah, beats #25 Oregon State, and will get a likely top 6-5 team in USC for the PAC-12 title game. Oregon beats USC and the above mentioned situations play out, and the Ducks are not out of this.

Go Ducks!
Welcome back. In case you missed it in the other threads, I just want to say:

Fuck you bitch!

Not against good players and coaching. We ate your ILBs alive. On another board I am on one of the posters described before the game exactly what we would do. We did that and feasted on your ILBs all day. The fact is that your ILBs are not good at covering WRs and especially good TEs in space.

Here are the PPF grades from the UGA game:

Sewell - 43.8
Flowe - 29.7
Bassa - 29.5

That's absolutely terrible. I believe 60-70 is considered average, so to be in the low 40s and 20s sucks.

As for your red zone D, you aren't close to elite or one of the best, against PAC teams. 25th out of 132 isn't elite:

Their run D looks good on paper (17th)

But look at the run offenses they've faced

Georgia - 31st
East Washington - FCS
BYU - 69th
Washington State - 112th
Stanford - 113th
Arizona - 86th
UCLA - 8th
Cal - 120th
Colorado - 107th
Washington - 101st

5/10 rank below 100 and only 2 are in the top 50. Not exactly a murders row of rushing offenses.

Who knew that there was a train station to scenario village all the way up to the farthest reaches of the Yukon territory? :noidea:

Would be a remake of Saturday night

Oregon is "good" yes but they aren't elite caliber.

Getting blown out without much resistance by Georgia and losing a home game to Washington suggests that.

Along with how bad their defense is. 78th in scoring defense. 91st in total defense (127th in pass D!)
But Oregon has Bo Heisman. So that nullifies all of that other stuff. Amirite @OregonDucks

Also have the fusky who caught the INT pass. The INT they gave to the uw wr.

So much BS fail from the pac-12 refs

Coincidentally since this game I’ve had a lingering sharp shooting needle pain in my chest. I’ve been downing Tums like they’re what they really are, Necco’s.

It's your inner whiney bitch flaring up.

Ya know fuk the huskies. For real. You realize how annoying it is when they start going off? Since they are so close to us their media members sort of leak into our media outlets
