Kick butt Monday

My favorite is when people bring up the rare pitcher that can actually hold a bat somewhat competently. Like Madison Bumgarner. Who is still a career .177 hitter. And thats one of the better hitting pitchers.
QBs should also learn to tackle.

He had those two years where he had like a 750 OPS which is pretty respectable for bottom of the lineup. But yea...so far in between there's no point.

My biggest beef with modern baseball is the lack of bunting. So many close games this postseason and I don't recall a single bunt. I get the analytics but that's one I'd ignore. Move the runner
I do understand many peoples issues with the way the game has gone to almost just homeruns and strikeouts. Its less action and threats of scoring.

Analytics help teams navigate a 162 game season. The issue with that style in the post season, is the game is played differently. Every at-bat matters more. Both pitchers and batters approach it differently than the regular season. Players tighten up.

With as many ints as he's thrown, Winston should be pretty competent in the fundamentals of tackling

Apparently he gets in around 830. I mean i really don’t expect to do much of anything today besides getting my tech stuff set up
JFC. If you are going to a new job, at least have the start date a couple weeks later. Get that relaxation time in.

This is going to be the year when the Vikings beat us in Soldier Field, isn't it? The year when we really need it and you guys don't. It pisses me off thinking about it tbh.

Congrats to the LA lakers winning their 12th championship and securing second place all time.

Also, if no one watched it, did it really happen.
I watched it. It happened.

I took a week off to move in. Drank beer and watched post season baseball most of last week. Got bills to pay tho. We don't all get to charge $350/hr

That was a very thoughtful post.

BTW, Fuck the Braves.

Yep. Postseason guys need to practice more situational hitting. One thing I know that has made it harder is the analytics behind the shifts...which are almost borderline unfair at times. But idk...I'd work on my team bunting situationally in the postseason. Something. A lot of runners left stranded this postseason.

not surprised. I realize kobesgame had nothing to do with win, but nice for fans. She's a MN fan so she usually watches teams that are only disappointing
Should I get congrats? No.

Is it nice for people to give some positive vibes and acknowledge when they are happy about something? Yes.

Have zero interest in getting drawn into another debate about pitchers batting but in a few different ways baseball is fundamentally different than it was before replay. I'm done anyway, so it doesn't matter to me but how sad it'll be for fans of a pure game to see the DH come to the NL. Just like basketball, baseball will never, ever be the same.

If you like clean, clinical, high scores, little or no strategy and a game stripped of the human element and the book of unwritten rules that has been in place since the civil fucking war, then yeah, baseball has never been better.

It's one of the reasons we chose this house, over a house in Moorhead. The Moorhead house had absolutely disgusting cabinets throughout. Tens of thousands to make the place look presentable. Fuck that noise.

(other big reason was, Minnesota sucks)
Presentable to whom? It’s not like you have friends or care to impress people.

Oh...and MJ's still better. LeBronze4Lyfe.

It took me a minute, like, "whoa, kobes having a bad monday"...then I realized it must be douche...and it's like...oh...ok.
