What’s the genre? Because I think the reason GOT is so good is because it’s not really a fantasy series at all. It’s a well-balanced political thriller set in some fantasy universe.
I hate fantasy, and the first six seasons of GOT is some of the best tv ever

That’s not what defines a genre.
Fantasy is about the magic and the take the right thing to the right place and say the chant and the bring the right peoples together for the sacred Union and the look inside to release the eternal powers of your bloodline and the fulfill the scrolls of yore.
GOT was about confounding all of that.
