Man, SEC. It Does Mean More...

It's easy to say things like this when Bama LSU and Tennessee all beat meh teams in their second rate bowl games.

Ohio State & Michigan probably look pretty good too if they were playing Clemson and Kansas State in Bowls.

Don't argue with me, argue with all the memes.

@fordman84 , you need to add one more emoji for "burn"

If it's tSEC or the field, I'm taking tSEC every damned time.

You don't need the whole SEC. If it's Alabama/Georgia against the field I'd have a hard time picking the field

I am thinking he is indicating the SEC playing any other league like you do with Basketball Challenges.

I am not so sure SEC would win though because we drag along teams like Vandy, Kentucky, Missouri, Auburn, Tennessee prior to 2022, etc.

It's all about matchups.

I won't argue that the SEC is deeper at the top than the B1G

When the B1G gets 2 teams in the playoff it REALLY throws off the rest of their bowl matchups.

It doesn't hurt the SEC as bad when they get 2 teams in due to the rest of the top being a bit better.

True but to be honest, this wasn't the B1G's banner year. B1G had been fairly strong up until 2023. Michigan State and the entire B1G West laying an egg really hurt the league from a competitive stand point.

Outside of Ohio State and Michigan the B1G really sucked this year

Penn State only lost 2 games but it was obvious they weren't anywhere close to a elite team.

I was actually surprised Penn State beat up on Utah as bad as they did

Are we really calling Purdue the Big 10 runner up? Lol. They won a watered down division to get to the B1G title game. They are at best the 4th best team in the B1G
It is safe to say -- Purdue is the #2 team in the B1G. Ohio State has an argument to be considered 3rd best this year. :hide:

I think Penn State was better than people give credit for but then again, some people on here think all teams suck unless they make playoffs so I guess it depends on how you rate them.

I would put Penn State about on par with LSU in the SEC or perhaps Mississippi State.

Honestly, when that meme popped up on my account, I was really shocked that I hadn't caught that earlier. Like, damn, they did what. Especially how large the margin was for the combined scores.

A little shocking when the SEC teams go to bowl games and lose them. We throw around the saying that "they didn't wanna be there". Now, these SEC teams go to these bowl games and win... and now they are 2nd rate bowl games. Which way is it? Can it be both? Asking for a friend.

Even as an SEC homer, it just isn't fun to brag about SEC anymore. It was fun when it was disrespected in late 90s and early 2000s but today it is basically the dominant league (well really just Alabama and Georgia).

lol

Y'all finally got tired of sucking Bama and Georgia's dicks?

It will get even worse when both of them join. Not only because they are big-name programs but the $$$ it will bring.
Will interest in college football decrease in areas other than the SEC and B1G when the revenue gap gets wider and wider?
