I'm not sure how I feel about this. I don't know who the guy is, but the MLB is one of the worst run professional sports organizations. You can't watch any of their games because of their outdated and quite frankly stupid TV deals. If you buy their season pass, your local team is blacked out to try and force you to buy a subscription from (now bankrupt) Bally Sports.

I'm not sure why conferences don't seem to be picking up anyone within college football? All of the recent conference president hires have been from other organizations with little to no affiliation to the college game.

This sounds like a BiG job right? They (ADs) probably wanted a more conservative approach than an aggressive one?

Having worse access to your product is bad, and so far, exactly the opposite to the approach the B10 has taken. They made sure the BTN was bundled in with a ton of services nationally to not only force people to pay into it, but to also get their product seen nationally.
 
So Oregon and Washington getting those invites any second now, right?

This seems to be the trend with the other conference hires going non traditional
