Colorado's star of the spring game...is now.. gone

He used it as a showcase. Lol
To get offers from FBS schools.

I’m not sure how much Prime is going to care any of these kids are leaving.

I know Colorado has been bad but at least some of these kids have to have the ability to at least contribute something to the team. Building a whole fucking team off of transfers isn't going to work well at the P5 level IMO. As said before it will be hard for Colorado to get any worse. They really can only look "better" than they did last year. I'm sure Deion will be quick to brag and claim a big W on that. But we wont really know how well he is doing until year 2 and really more so year 3.

Did you mean FCS?

He’s down a lot of scholarship players. He’s not going to be able fill all of that with the transfer portal, at least not FBS players.

Wild guess, Prime hates some of the kids he inherited.

Totally with you on they really can’t get worse. As long they don’t go without a win anyway.

Yea he might have improved the roster some on the starting line via transfers, but there is zero fucking depth due to all the players that have transferred out. Even then it's not a gigantic enough improvement to climb them out of the cellar. I still say they win 3 games tops. Anyone thinking they win 6-7 games is really insane.

Deion will manage to spin a 3-9 season as being a "BIG VICTORY! A BIG STEP FORWARD". I guess technically it would be considering they went 1-11 last year and got demolished a lot of the time. But still lol.

Montana Jones is getting FBS offers, according to the link.

He’s a skinny 3 star with 33 catches in 25 games.

I mean I know it was just a spring game, but hat can't bode well for the Colorado defense that he went ape shit on them in that game.

He caught three passes.

I watched some of that shitshow on Saturday.

They gave the defense a touchdown for returning a blocked extra point. Wtf

Lol I hate how they do scoring in spring games now. Ohio State does a goofy ass offense vs defense thing with like Fantasy Football level scoring.

I was mad at myself for sitting down and watching tbh. But I also watched some XFL instead of being productive. So I shouldn’t have expected better from myself.

They really are pretty pointless in the grand scheme.

Most teams seem to have a guy every year who puts up big numbers in the spring game, everyone gets excited about them, and then they are never heard from in the regular season.

This is so fucking funny. Look, if you think running off 60 of your 85 scholarship players is a good idea, you are an idiot. These are kids that wanted to be at Colo because they like the school. What is Deon bringing in?

- A bunch of guys who were, at best, 2 deep. More likely these guys were 3 or 4 on the depth chart.
- A bunch of guys who are excited about Deon's attitude ... I am sure that "me first" attitude will be great for building a team culture.
- A bunch of guys who could care less about Colorado as a school, and while that is somewhat less important in today's environment, it is still something you want for the core of your team.

I get that you would break records seeing how bad they were last year. But, he's running off players that are better than the guys he is brining in who wanted to go to Colorado.

If you look at the most successful teams in CFB - UGA, Bama, Clemson, tOSU, UM - the common theme is that they all have great team culture. This ain't the way to do it. I will stick to what I have said before - Deon's narcissism will keep him from ever being a big time CFB coach.

We will probably see major transfer activity every year Deion is there. Seems like if after 1 year (or even less in some cases) Deion decides "you cant cut it" (before you even get a real chance) he will tell you to get lost. This is not the way to build a program.

he told them to hit the portal when he arrived and they are doing it. Kudos to the kids that take advantage of their game being on ESPN so they have tape now for other schools to look at.. I bet Prime isn't even batting an eye
