They only lasted about 14 seasons. Looks like Notre Dame feasted on them more than anyone. At the bottom of the page you can click through their seasons.

As I alluded, everybody's schedules had some funny stuff in them in the late 1800's/early 1900's.

Nebraska and many others were 'Independent' as shown on those Chicago Physicians and Surgeons wiki pages.

It's not until Nebraska joined the 'Missouri Valley Conference' and then the 'Big 6 Conference' when those weird teams dropped off.
