For fatty cuts, I've found the holy grail, and it's simple as hell. People always ask what did I use, and when I tell them, they don't believe it.

You need big, chucky salt. Not Kosher, chunkier. I've been using this:

A lot of both of those, about 10 minutes before you put them on the grill. Make sure the grill is hot enough to scorch the fat on the outside of the steak.

I'll also use a basic Cajun seasoning sometimes for a cowboy steak deal.

Mornin' folks.

Another day...Another run. Short one today. 3 miler. Need to probably kick it up a notch with all the candy I'm about to eat.

Speaking of, wifey has decided no trick or treating this year. This makes me sad. To make up for it I purchased like every Halloween movie I didn't already own on Blu-Ray and it's going to be a Michael Myers fiesta (Yes, Halloween 3 we're going to do to). And I'm gonna buy like 6 bags of candy just for us. LOL. I got off on buying costume stuff this year so I say it's even.

Bears definitely sus. The one thing we can hang our hat on is that the team is just starting to get acclimated to Foles, so there is a decent chance the offense could see improvement as the season moves forward, which is sorely needed. That said, on D our pass rush is nasty and secondary has been playing strong...but our run defense is just bad. I dread our game vs the Titans. Henry is going to eat our lunch. I guess Eddie Goldman sitting out for COVID was a big deal. Our offensive line is a problem too. Foles can help them out by not being clueless out there like Mitch, but not sure how much that will move the needle. Either way, tough to really count on a team when you don't trust the boys up front on both ends. But hey, at 5-1 a playoff berth at this point should be the minimum expectation...so that's pretty hype.

Good morning good people. The Cowboys stunk up the tv sets so bad last night, even I pulled the plug. Yeah, they won't miss Dak. We've got Andy Dalton. Problem is, old Andy isn't very fast and doesn't roll out like Dak and is a sitting target.

Got another nurse here already today. I have to put the dog in the bathroom every time someone visits. So it'll be me cleaning the bathroom when she leaves.

Only 4 days until Ohio State plays. I can't wait.

Thought for the day: Before I agree to 2021, I have to agree to some terms and conditions.

It's amazing. "I need you immediately." I rearrange my calendar and get them in and they no show.

I once drove 60 miles to a mediation that started at 8:30am. Other side didn't show. I also once drove 45 miles through ice-covered highways to court and found out once I got there that court was cancelled. Legal folks are pretty much all assholes.

This morning was one opposing counsel saying she hadn't talked with her client yet, so we needed to reschedule. She sent the email 15 minutes before it was scheduled.

I'm pretty much a straight up salt and pepper.
