In The Future SEC Schools Have A Big Problem

The conference has a requirement that each school schedule a P5 team each year. How the hell do you define a P5 school now?

I'm assuming this would mean more matchups with the ACC and Big12?

Yeah because the B1G and SEC don't want to play each other until bowl season anyway. How many B1G vs SEC regular season OOC games can you recall? I remember Penn State/Auburn a few years ago. That's about all I can remember.

Correction. I also recall LSU/Wisky in Green Bay and New Orleans.

Oklahoma has Michigan scheduled for '25 and '26, and Nebraska for '29 and'30

Not sure if that will change.

Yep. Wisconsin also had a one-off with Alabama and a home a home and home soon.
we got dibs on wazzu/oregon st
No more Maryland?

Alabama in the recent past and a home and home scheduled with them soon. I think the biggest hurdle is the SEC teams will have to go to more home and homes.

Alabama and Penn State played home and home in 2010 and 2011, played Michigan @ Arlington in 2012 and played Wisconsin @ Arlington in 2015. All double digit wins for 'Bama.

The Tide are scheduled to play Wisconsin home and home in 2024 and 2025, Ohio State home and home in 2027 and 2028 and Minnesota home and home in 2032 and 2033.

So, one OOC game against a B1G school in the last 15 years? That ain't much but it is probably one more than most other SEC or B1G schools.

The math should work out that there are enough Big 12, ACC and Notre Dame teams that the Big and SEC can schedule at least ONE game ooc against those teams, if they're too scared to play each other. After a few years of losing recruits, those teams will become like the current FCS so no one should ever have to schedule FCS again

Four games: Penn State in 2010, Penn State in 2011, Michigan in 2012 and Wisconsin in 2015. The two games in Arlington were regular season games.

Isn't that 4 OOC games in 15 years?
