Yes. I know I could find a loaded .22 in my parents garage. Used it to shoot a groundhog, but it's basically, as somebody else stated, a varmint gun. They live on 40+ acres, so there are plenty of pest killing opportunities.

I don't think they were 'tracker' dogs though. Just common police dogs used to subdue a suspect.
