i get to the fine print - head coaches get the registration fee waived - asst coaches get 50%...

guess who going to be an asst coach so I know my kid won't learn a damn thing because I am a cheap bastard

$140 for a season of basketball....sign me up

The last couple years she's been on this travel team where I paid a fee up front and then towards the end of the season they hit me with another bill for practice gyms and referees.

Last time my son did a basketball league I wanna say it was about $150 for the summer. He's never been interested in tryouts for any teams at his school. My daughter is pure artist, she can barely throw a ball

Yeah, you save 50%, but then you have to spend hours and hours and hours going to all the practices and games. Plus you have to deal with hovering parents who get pissed little Johnny isn't getting enough playing time. Hard pass, pay the $140.

Cheap with money I get, but its better to be cheaper with your time.

She chose a CUNY school, we're getting off pretty lightly on the tuition part.

Haven't followed the daycare thingy, but I remember a while back when a toddler drowned in a mop bucket at one of these barely-licensed centers
