karma for such a pushover schedule this year?Currently ranked teams on Michigan’s 2024 schedule:
#24 Fresno State
#3 Texas@
#7 Washington
#8 Oregon
#9 USC@
#4 Ohio State
has to be. And we'll be replacing most of our team after this year too. Yay! We'll be lucky to go 9-3.karma for such a pushover schedule this year?
Somehow it looks like Ohio State got put in the old B10 west lolWhen does Ohio State play Lake Huron Polytechnic?

OSU getting 1 while Michigan gets 3 seems weird....especially in a year where we play Texas in the OOC.Ohio State still gets Penn State which Michigan doesn't so it's not quite as bad as it seems. It is weird that Michigan got 3/4 of the incoming Pac opponents. Ohio States ooc is garbage next year as well
It's hard to argue this isn't going to be a better product accross the board to watch on any given weekend. Good year to start the 12 team playoff...Michigan can probably lose 3 games and still have a shot at getting in with a schedule like this.Looks tough, but it happens. Also looks fun! One bit of consolation is that USC/Oregon/Washington will be breaking in new QBs.
Bring it on.
Probably feel bad for Ohio State after the beat downs you put on them the last 2 yearsSomehow we managed to get Oregon, USC, Washington in 2024....

It is what all these teams in the two super conferences schedules will look like going forward. It is why I said -- those top team OOC games are going to go away.karma for such a pushover schedule this year?

I've wondered all along why more conferences don't do what the SEC does with that late season pushover. And at the risk of going full-conference-homer, what you are feeling now is what the SEC has dealt with. The seasons that A&M had LSU + Bama + UGA +whichever of the Mississippi program is decent that year plus the requirement of trying to find a good OOC P5 opponent. And heaven help you if UF or Tennessee finds lightning in a bottle. It is what all these teams in the two super conferences schedules will look like going forward. No team in their right mind is going to schedule other big time games, when you have to play 3 or 4 big time matchups in conference, not including the other conference games against very capable teams.
I wouldn't be surprised if you see teams using the Bama scheduling, where they spread out the OOC and give them essentially a 2nd bye week mid season against whatever cannon fodder they schedule from the FCS.
