Ok you Nose Straw Dumb Asses, let's hear your outlier belief or audacious claim concerning the 2023-2024 college football season.

I've got a doozy for ya.

SEC won't win the NC this year.

“Nose Straw Dumb Asses”. Is that about the same as “Elbow Chewers”?

UGA 3 peats and forever cements the fact that being a blue blood doesn’t help you win now, congrats on the success your great-grandparents got to see though

I think a Georgia repeat is very likely. Will be one of the greatest stretches by a football program.

Seconded.

None of the SEC teams rn really seem to have “It”. Dunno if it’s a motivation/morale issue or what.

But just generally sluggish, flawed play all around.

Gut feeling says someone from the Pac12 wins it.

I wouldn’t say very likely, but very possible.
There is absolutely ZERO REASON Georgia shouldn't be one of the top 4 teams every single year. They are the only true D1 program (refuse to include Georgia Tech) in a state that puts out more talent than almost any other.

All Georgia ever needed was a capable coach. Look at 2024 for the state of Georgia. They have 24 kids from the state of Georgia in the top 200. TWENTY FOUR. That is absurd. They have 10 of the top 50 high school recruits from the state of Georgia.

So now we know who to blame if Georgia three-peats

I don't think taking everyone else over the SEC for the national championship is all that brave. If Michigan is as good as they seem to be then they could easily win it (like Ohio State almost did last year). FSU could be for real (although the Boston College game would have to be an outlier for that to be true) we just need to see. Oklahoma surprised on Saturday and they have an easy schedule so let's see if they can repeat and beat Texas twice.

I think Bama is getting stronger and Georgia isn't as good as last year but by the end of the season both could be competing for the title but right now I'd put my money on Michigan over anyone else. The SEC is down this year top to bottom no doubt the QB play just isn't there.

I'll say this a PAC team will not win the natty and 4 real contenders I would put out there would be:

Michigan
Georgia
Oklahoma
FSU

With Bama being a joker card in the deck.

UGA and Bama have looked better the last 2 weeks, and those are the teams in the SEC you have to be concerned with. Because there isn't a real alpha team this year I think it is important to see which teams are starting to get better.

I think the PAC eats itself - playing D, with the exception of Oregon, is the problem. With WSU and OSU wanting to kick everyone's ass and being better than usual, the PAC is going to be fun and wild, but may end up with 2 losses for their best team. It will be entertaining.

SEC's problem is probably new QBs, among other things.

Eh, we're a blue blood and I've seen 2 NCs in my adult life, and will likely see more. It's pretty cool.

While I agree we did less with more, and we should be good every year, you are giving too much credit to that talent. Most of it comes from the Atlanta metro area and many of those kids didn't grow up all Dawgs. We are seeing that more and more. The state of Georgia isn't like Louisiana where those boys just won't leave.

We compete against UF, FSU, Auburn, Clemson, and UTjr every year. They may not be within the state borders, but all of those other than UF are about a half hour from the Georgia border. And every other team hammers Georgia as they should.

I’ve seen two the last two years and we’re not a blue blood and I’d turn down the invite. I don’t care about wins that happened before I was born.

I will take the SEC winning it all as of now. Sluggish at times? Maybe. Currently, Southern Cal's and Oregon's best wins are against... Colorado. Oregon State and Washington State have pretty good wins over Utah and Wisconsin respectively. I think the PAC 12 will beat each other up, and Oregon will lose a game or two they should not. Michigan's best win is against UNLV and/or Rutgers. They look great but haven't been tested yet. Ohio State has beaten Maryland and Notre Dame. Those might not look "great" now, but it is better than what a lot of teams have faced.

I’ll take the SEC (Georgia/Bama) as well…until someone knocks them out. Not looking like any of their conference mates are going to do it. And been a while since non conference opponents have in the CFP.

And didn’t we see this movie last year with Michigan as far as regular season versus the playoffs?

Tennessee is winning it all boys, deal with it.
