UCF, Houston, BYU, and Cincinnati.
12 Conference games played collectively so far.

You ask yourself, self, what is that record vs the old Big 12 members ??

Yep
1-9 / with the only win coming against WVU by Houston.

2 of the new 4 have wins against the other 2 new teams.

This seems fairly lopsided.

Brett Yormack IS Professor Harold Hill.

Everything you need to know about the Big XII in 4 minutes and fifty three seconds:

* took a Hail Mary to get Houston that 1 Dub but yea G5 teams are totally as good as P5’s…

How much time do you realistically give them to compete?

They are coming from smaller conferences with smaller budgets. Need some time to upgrade and recruit, no?
Utah finished 4-5 in the pac in year 1 beating Oregon State, Arizona, UCLA, and Washington State
TCU finished 4-5 in the Big XII in year 1 beating Kansas, Baylor, ranked West Virginia and ranked Texas

I've got to be honest I see some of these conference games and have to think twice to even realize they are conference games. It's going to take another season before I get used to this new alignment.

Ive been doing the same thing. I was in a conversation with someone a couple weeks back talking about how Oklahoma played Cincinnati OOC this season

tbh, i always assumed that the new schools would come in after OU + Texas joined the SEC. My mind can't comprehend them joining this season.

I would have too until I saw last week's BYU performance against TCU. And BYU beat Cincy the previous week. But Baylor has looked awful and Tech is down to the 3rd team QB again.

I'm still thinking BYU and Cincy have damn good chances to win.

While true bud, we were down damn near the whole second half. Brown deserves to be punched in the face for the lackluster play calling in the first half when we truly were dominating and yet only up 3. We were very lucky to take the lead at the end there.

Oh I agree, just showing how close it was to being zero wins vs the old guard.

IMO it shows the parity and craziness that the Big12 is gonna provide moving forward.

As for the G5 arguments about being able to do XYZ in whatever P5 conference… Its one thing to beat somebody from a P5 one game but it’s quite another to do it from week to week even when a P5 conference is down or weak ect. The competition is tougher.

I remember back during the summer some writers were picking UCF as a dark horse division winner.

That’s what happens when conferences try and keep up by adding G5 schools. You form a G5 conference….
