No they weren‘t. Everyone above them had better wins than Texas. All of Texas best wins were at home against Kansas (RPI #14) BYU (RPI (#15), best road win was RPI #28 Houston. They also had a bad loss to RPI #63 Long Beach State and were swept by #59 Kansas State late in season. They got the exact seed they deserved based on their resume.

for the defending champs that was a terrible selection ESPECIALLY in Stanford's bracket.. It's ok.. they about to double up regardless

If they were in any of the other 3 brackets, they would be done for the year.

It really doesn’t matter they were defending champs. It’s about what they did this year, not last year. If they had been seeded one spot higher they would have had to play Wisconsin yesterday and that would have been worse for Texas. Stanford wasn’t playing super great the last month of season. They won but were dropping more sets than should have. Texas was not close to being a top 4 seed with lack of top wins and a couple bad losses

they play WI this week right? Yeah we clearly will be in the final.. just not sure who we face.. Nebraska is good but they are young.. I think Pitt was the weakest of the #1 seeds though
