End of Eras Thursday

O/U is 236.5... that seems very low with how bad the Eagles D is. Are they expecting weather Monday night?

40% chance of rain in Tampa Monday night. Just looked.

I'd laugh, but it's -15 out and somehow getting colder by the hour. Wind is howlin'. It didn't snow last nite at all, yet I still shoveled 6 inches this morning. Total whiteout out there driving. Everything is covered with snow, so there's no points of reference. Drifts fuggin' everywhere and you can't see 'em fer shit.

every sports gambler I've ever talked to is "up". I guess it's just everybody I don't know that loses.

Last sports bet I made was probably 8 years ago.

I suggest dabbling in the stock market. It will give you the patience required to succeed in gambling by strengthening your research skills, the timing of your decision making and teach you to stay calm in the eye of fast moving money (not getting enticed by prop bets, parlays and other side bets that offer large payouts despite the small % chance they have of hitting).

Sports gambling does not have to be a hobby. It can absolutely be treated like a side business.

I'm not a gambler at all so this is all well over my head
Simple terms, he put up 20 bucks, won $100 and the team he chose lost the bet.

press your luck no whammies GIF

That’s the key. Don’t press your luck. Bet on easy, high percentage stuff (like money lines), win, and walk away.

Everything you need to know about gambling is in that Kenny Rogers song.

Every gambler has a system. I'll tell you mine for only $9.95 per month.

Only if you provide me with your SSN and PIN

I'm not as up as I once was, but still pretty good from initial seed money if we're looking at this like some douchebag investment and not a reason to watch a shitty pistons team.

the same seed money in a CD would be higher or lower than your current bankroll?

As a point of comparison, on my LEGO sales, my profit is 432%

average age of the sets is around 7 years. little over 20% per year.

Technically you don’t need to watch the games. You can just follow the score online, like a stock price.

in my view; sports bettors == underpants gnomes

Life is funny... I'm sitting here trying to motivate myself to get some shit done for my pain the ass clients and I get a text from a guy I haven't talked to in 5 years since we last worked together. I know where this is going, but a short back and forth later exchanging pleasantries and catching up he asks if I'm looking for a job.

Always nice to feel wanted, and I'm never going to let an opportunity pass without atleast considering it... plus I can't stand my fucking job right now so maybe this is what I need.

So we'll see if this turns into something meaningful or kickstarts something else.

Let us know how long it takes for him to mention Amway.
