Sick Kid Thursday

Crud is going around our house past 3 weeks. I & Lil W had a cold & went through our nose & eyes and was done after a couple days. Last week Dodger had a fever & cough. This week the wife has bronchitis & Bossy probably has the flu. I'm guessing I'm getting bronchitis or walking pneumonia. Usually get it between now to beginning of April.

My wife has a female new hire that started this week. That new hire called in today - first week on the job.

My wife's other most recent hire just put in her 2-weeks notice after being on the job for only a couple months because her boyfriend is starting a new job at the prison and she decided she's going to marry him and be a stay-at-home wife.

I told my wife a few minutes ago - maybe she needs to be discriminatory with her next hire... hire a single male. Yeah, he'll probably show up to work with a hangover and VD, but at least he's showing up to work.

morning

so last night kind of sucked

working 6a-6p for this outage, so my time at home is limited as it is.

so I put in an order for sushi at 530 and they tell me they are busy so it will be ready in an hour...ok cool that works for me.

I leave work, go buy some roses and kill time before the food is ready. I get there and wait...and wait...and wait. I ask where the food is, it's been an hour...sushi shouldn't take this long.

I finally get my food at 7...an hour and a fucking half. I get my food, head home and it is 730 and I am beat.

We do dinner, I give her her flowers and some valentines day gifts and cards...and her birthday present...and go to bed. Got to spend a solid hour with my gf on her birthday. That just sucks. Thanks sushi place.

"will try to pitch through it"

I'm sure that will go well
Isn't this what happened to Ohtani last year? The shot let him pitch for like maybe a month, and then he went under the knife anyway?

I know the Phillies wound up not seeing any tangible benefit when Dominguez and Painter both got the PRP shot, as they wound up getting surgery anyway.

I ain't a doctor. But just seems like you're delaying the inevitable later this season. Outside looking in, it just seems easy to say bite the bullet and get ready for next season. But what do I know. I'm just a dumbass

I'm with stupid here. I guess there's no downside to getting the shot either, it just seems like all that ever comes out of it is you wind up losing however many months down the line in the next season because you put off the surgery. I don't know if getting the PRP first is potentially shortening recovery time after the surgery (don't know if that was a factor with Harper last year, for instance).
