season is still over three months away.

getting my trips planned out. planning on attending more games this year because i'm not a fan of conference realignment and this is probably the best way to keep my interest in the sport.

8/29- Western Carolina @ NC State
9/7- Virginia @ Wake Forest
9/14- Ole Miss @ Wake Forest
9/21- James Madison @ UNC
9/28- Louisiana @ Wake Forest
10/5- ECU @ Charlotte
10/12- Clemson @ Wake Forest
10/18- FSU @ Duke
10/26- Navy vs Notre Dame @ MetLife
10/31- Tulane @ Charlotte* (Not sure about this one yet. it's a Thursday night game)
11/8- Cal @ Wake Forest
12/7- ACC CG in Charlotte

and i definitely would have made the trip to Atlanta on August 24th if GT and FSU played there instead of god damn Ireland.

I usually try to catch the USC vs Notre Dame games most years, but this year it's in L.A. on Nov 30th during the Thanksgiving long weekend and I NEVER travel over the holidays... TOO crazy!

That's exactly what we told our daughter and son in law when they asked us to go with them to Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Her replay, "You know we can get off during the week to go." Yeah, but we can. Sucks to be you.

Wife and I told them we'd rather stay here and take care of the grandkids and the dog.

Oh, there might be a couple.

I've got my eye on the Auburn vs Oklahoma game but haven't made a decision. I had season tickets for 32 years before I gave them up and honestly its kinda nice to watch at home and get other stuff done.

Probably ND vs. FSU in South Bend. I had season tickets in 2019 but post covid I only make it to one game a year. 2022 Clemson and 2023 USC.

Home schedule is weak this year so FSU might be the only one worth going to.

be at the Michigan game in September for sure.. thinking about making the UF game at home too

Only planned for one in late november. :cool2:

This thread got me thinking about who I've seen play in person and just going by the P5 teams this is what I came up with:

SEC:
Auburn
Alabama
Arkansas
South Carolina
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
LSU
Kentucky
Florida
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Miss State
Texas A&M
Texas
Oklahoma
Missouri
Big 12:
Kansas
Kansas State
UCF
West Virginia
ACC:
Clemson
FSU
GT
Louisville
Miami
UNC
Notre Dame
Pitt
Syracuse
Virginia
Wake Forest
Big 10:
USC
Penn State
Michigan
Indiana
Maryland
Nebraska
Ohio State
PAC 12:
Washington State

Some of these were in bowls like Virginia, Ohio State, Michigan and Indiana and some of them weren't Auburn games but Bama games like ND and Penn State.

For Bowl Games I've been to:

Sugar - 4 Times
Peach - 3 Times
Cotton - 1
Rose - 1
Tampa (was Hall of Fame Bowl at the time but has changed multiple times since)
Music City Bowl

The big names I haven't seen are but not going to kill myself to do so:
UCLA
Oregon
Washington
Wisconsin

The one bowl I want to go to is the Orange Bowl because in my youth the big 4 was the Sugar, Cotton, Rose and Orange so I only have that one left on my list. I've been to a national championship game so I'm good there.

The only other game I would love to see and probably do need to make the effort is the Army/Navy game. I've just got to decide if I want to put out the money. My daughter almost went to the Naval Academy and I would have gone then if that had happened but decided to go Coast Guard Academy instead.

The only thing sports-wise I have a desire to go to that I haven't done is a Final Four but it has to be good seats no way am I sitting in the nosebleed just to say I was there.

You can cross Wisconsin off the list in 2025 when they visit Alabama.

I only went to Bama games when I was a kid and they were played in B'ham and was going with my friends and their parents. Since they play all their games in Tuscaloosa now there is no way I'm traveling to Gomorrah because I might turn to salt.

For the record though the only time I saw Miami was in the Sugar Bowl vs Bama and I was a sophomore in college but I went with a friend and wasn't going to turn down a free trip to New Orleans.

I was looking at that one too. I might go to the Arkansas game a week before that one instead.

I'll be at all the home OU home games, season ticket holder for 26 years. RRR for annual texas beat down and probably go to LSU but that is on Thankgiving so not sure yet.

If you haven’t been to Baton Rouge it’s a must go to campus visit especially if it’s a night game. No louder venue in the country.

I went to the National Championship game when we played LSU in New Orleans. Talk about a home field advantage. That place was loud enough.
