2024 Copa América

South America typical nonsense and drama as usual. Made my Caipirinha at 4:55 PM PST for start of game. What a joke!! Now 6:15 start. Embarrassing.

Lalas trying to say, "this proves Americans are passionate about soccer!"

I don't think that was a bunch of US citizens who were gate crashing

We won’t win the big ones til we care like this

Ruptured Achilles for Messi? I hope not. That did not look good.

Gust of wind and a player is down “hurt”

Well copa america has crossed over to super bowl with a shitty half time show too. Ugh.

Just another beautiful thing about recording. No fucking halftime shows. I actually thought that was a pretty good game. Disappointing result but not a bad game.

Lautaro Martinez should have started. Better than Alvarez. This was a generational crossover game. Messi did not win it for Argentina, Argentina won it for Messi. And that is the way it is going to be going forward if Messi continues. When Messi on field, Argentina basically playing with 10. Messi plays zero defense, but still magical on the other when he has the ball in the offensive end. Still can make that magical pass, dribble, shot, but most the game he stands around conserving energy. Sad to see Angel Di Maria retire. For most of second half he was the best player.

Crazy game in extra time. Everyone dead tired and it was wide open lol.

There is a lot in 2 years that needs to be fixed before 2026 World. First thing: pull every game where they put grass over artificial turf. MetLife Stadium junk. Atlanta too. Jerry Jones monolith stadium was good. The turf in some of these games was abysmal. Move games out West (I am being greedy living in California) where the weather better (zero humidity). Levi Stadium in Santa Clara about 30 minutes from me perfect. I know USA playing out West. Group stage: Los Angeles, Seattle, Los Angeles and if they get out of that, first knockout Levi Stadium in Santa Clara. I will be there ... unless Germany has a game. I will be there instead.

Pretty sure a high percentage of the Canadian games are going to be on covered turf. If they even cover it, do you remember the World Cup qualifier it was played in Edmonton and it was freezing.

I remember. USA played a World Cup qualifier in Minnesota in the Winter against Honduras. Honduras had the return match in mud. But the actual World Cup games, fields better be pristine.
