I think people are just assholes these days...has nothing to do with COVID or anything...that sounds like an excuse

I don't think it's COVID, I think there's just a bit of a societal shift driven by social media and the Internet. Users expect to see things that align with their worldview, and when they are faced either with a conflicting viewpoint or catch pushback IRL, they don't have a place to go hide or another site to browse to, they lash out.

People were always assholes, though. It just seems like people are willing to be assholes in more places than before.

People got used to sitting inside too long being dicks to other people during the lockdowns. I’m not saying they’re being dicks because they got covid.

I find it funny for the IN folks that were being asses. They try to act like they support all the kids all the time. Obviously they don't. Then when people call them out, they can't handle it. I was waiting for the Boomers to talk crap. I think one of the GenX recognized me & made a comment to the others & walked the other way. The community is big on the football program and they realized I'm not the one to piss off at this time. I wouldn't be surprised if my sister in-law wasn't somehow involved. She acts like she doesn't know us unless my brother is around. I've been nice to her, but never been a huge fan of her or her family. Mostly her family as they think they're high society. Obviously I come from those that speak the truth & what's on their minds and the opposite of high society.

I can and I will. Yes, assholes existed before covid but it’s escalated since. Half of all voters wanted the other half thrown in camps if they didn’t wear a mask. People don’t change after treating others that way.

Now those people feel comfortable telling other people what to do about everything just like you are to me right now.

You’re just like those moms bossing around that teacher telling him what he can’t do in his own classroom.
