Best I can tell, being a blue blood mostly just means caring more about past success than current and future success.

If I had the power, I would make it so that UGA lost every game they ever played prior to this season if it meant a natty this year

FFS

It would take Oregon 20 years to catch the top 15 D1 programs in all-time wins.

That would be IF those 15 teams basically went winless in those 20 years.

Let's see. 65 teams in BCS, Maybe a few more. The Bluebloods are Top, say, 10%. Leaves room for 6-7 teams.

Who would be BB for the last 25 years?

Alabama.

That is all.

About it, although Florida, USC, Ohio State, Texas and Notre Dame would round out the top 6. Also noted, LSU, Georgia and Penn St received votes.
What has Notre Dame done in the past 25 years. Same with Penn State?

6 Best programs of the past 25 years off the top of my head

Bama
LSU
Georgia
Ohio State
Clemson
Oklahoma

Poor, poor Georgia. Didn't want in but bitches when not included.
25 years is essentially just the 21st century. Rating ND ahead of UGA in that timeframe is laughable

Tennessee: Neyland and Fulmer each have natty's.
Oregon: Bellotti and Chip Kelly have no natty's.

The two aren't even comparable as "contenders", let alone Oregon being an actual blueblood.

I guess it's a matter of what one considers "success".
I’m not arguing Oregon is a blue blood. I’m trying to figure out why Tennessee is when they haven’t been relevant since before any current players dad went through puberty (not counting the 30 year olds who play for the Utah schools)

Notre Dame is and was a Blueblood no matter the results. I always consider Georgia as an outsider to the inner circle. Glad to see them putting some knots on some elitist teams.

But you said over the last 25 years.

Cutoff is a generation of success in the last two generations and at least three generations of success

You could interpret generation as each decade or as each coaching tenure
That’s kind of a silly argument, by that definition Army was still a blue blood when millennials were born.

Didn’t we previously decide on:
Tosu
Michigan
Texas
OU
Usc
Nd
Bama

…and Nebraska got relegated to the minors?

Yep. ND is a special case. Once and always a Blueblood. They were a BB before and they didn't lose the title.
I mean, they’ve gone longer than Nebraska without a natty, had numerous losing seasons and had their winning coach in their history poached by a non blue blood. If Nebraska lost their standing, why does ND keep theirs?
