2024 College Football TV Ratings

Yeah, but ABC/SEC still has:

UGA v UF
UGA v. OM
UGA v. UTjr
UA v. AU
LSU v. UA
TEX v. ATM
UF v. LSU*
UF v TEX
UF v FSU

Those 9 games will do 30 - 60 million.

UF still draws a lot of attention when playing good competition—all these games will be watched by 3-4 million.

Oh yeah I don't think the B1G will come all that close to catching the SEC. If anything the gap will widen.

I think all those will do good numbers except UF vs. FSU. When both teams were bad in 2021 it didn't even get 2 million viewers. That game is gonna get buried.

Might be on the cw

The ACC and the rest of the Big 12 should go out and hire coaches with bling. That'd get the ratings up.
Or one could deduce such from this data.
I’m in!

I understand your skepticism, but

- UF is playing better. They have the toughest schedule unlike you Texas pussies, but they are going to win one or two they aren't supposed to. I am worried about our game with them, but I am also thinking it's not the easy W I thought it would be at the beginning of the season.

- UF fans watch the games. Their numbers have been good. UF v. UTjr got 3.25M, UF v. MSU got 2.64, UF v. ATM 4.8, UF v. Miami 6.35 ... their games against UGA, TEX, OM, and FSU will drive some substantial numbers.

Listen to Mr. Texas coming in here like he's all that.

Even if you win out and 2 of LSU, UGA, and ATM win out, you don't go to the SECCG. Of the 4 teams you are in the worst position for taking care of your own business. That weak-ass SEC schedule is going to get you in the tiebreakers if you get that far.

The fuck you talking about LSU not watching? LSU v. Arky - 1.36M, OM - 4.24M, UCLA - 2.73M, USCjr - 4.94M, USC - 8.62M

Tex v. CSU - 1.84M, UM - 9.19M, UTSA - 1.48M, OU - 7.63, UGA - 13.19M

The only time you do all that much better than LSU is when you play Michigan and UGA. You're welcome.

He said "fsu" not "lsu". But, I'm calling it now. Georgia vs A&M in Atlanta.

Now the hairy dawgs and agnuts better come through.

you might need to re-read my last two posts there buddy

Surprises to me:

1) Mizzou/Bama > LSU/ A&M The latter was the two teams leading the SEC!!!!
2) Illinois/Oregon Sixth?
3) Tech/TCU > Michigan/Michigan State? Must have gotten viewers that switched from Oregon/Illinois. Oregon was routing Illinois and Tech/TCU went down to the wire.
4) BYU/UCF > Washington/Indiana? WTF

Broadcast TV

SEC on ABC: 10.6 million

Big 10 on FOX, CBS, NBC: 14.06 million
SEC on ABC: 5.3m avg viewers
B1G on Fox, CBS, NBC: 3.5m avg viewers

Yeah after the 1st quarter there was no reason to continue watching ill-ore

I don't think it's 14.06. 5.96+3.34+2.75 = 12.05.

I expect you were sleeping at 11 pm (ET), but.......

Nebraska @ Ohio St: 5.96 million (FOX)
Penn St @ Wisconsin: 3.34 million (NBC)
Illinois @ Oregon: 2.75 million (CBS)
Rutgers @ USC: 2.01 million (FOX)

14.06 million

The real money is in "Broadcast TV" and that's not even debatable.

The Top 6 were all "Broadcast TV".

That is likely why the Big 10 went heavily weighted on "Broadcast TV" in the new contract.

Do I need to say "Broadcast TV" again for good measure?

ESPN owns the bowl games though. That's why my cut-off will be at the end of the regular season and CCG's.
