$ 6,303.00
1 - Ohio State (Rose)
2 - Texas (Sugar)
3 - BYU (Fiesta)
4 - SMU (Peach)
5 - Oregon
6 - Penn State
7 - Indiana
8 - Tennessee
9 - Alabama
10 - Notre Dame
11 - Ole Miss
12 - Boise State

Boise State @ Oregon
Ole Miss @ Penn State
Notre Dame @ Indiana
Alabama @ Tennessee

Kind of a tricky situation with figuring out the SEC teams. The above scenario has Tennessee beating UGA for simplicity's sake, if nothing else. What gets really wild is if Texas A&M and UGA win out. As strange as it seems, we could end up with a scenario where the SEC gets 4 teams in, but NONE of them are given home games.

I love this 12 team playoff and the structure. Much of it is going to come down to the last weeks/CCGs and there are many, many more potential scenarios in play because of the byes, home fields, etc.

Bummer that most of the B1G teams avoid each other while the SEC teams are playing more games against the other major players. They don't all play, but they play a helluva lot more than the top ranked B1G teams do (not named Ohio State who actually plays @ Oregon, @ Penn State and Indiana). Those other three though have all avoided each other. Will shake out though, as the better teams will win in the long run. SEC teams will win more games than B1G teams in the CFP, home, away or neutral because the top SEC teams are better than the top B1G teams in most years, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Ohio State and Oregon are better than any SEC team this year.

"The SEC just beats each other up" excuses are fine until you lose games to Georgia State and the 16th place B1G team.

Oregon and Ohio State might be better than any SEC team. Oregon is new to this game, but we hear this about Ohio State all the time, and they have an awful record in the BCS and CFP Era vs. SEC teams in the big games. I do not expect that to change much. They will win some, of course. Maybe, they will win it all this year.

It's not a beating up on each other thing in the SEC that I am talking about. The upper ranked teams in the SEC simply play more games against the other upper ranked teams in the conference than the B1G teams do this year besides Ohio State which has played the other 3. Oregon, Penn State and Indiana do not have another game vs. a ranked team in the B1G besides their game with Ohio State (which I admire for playing all three). I have no problem with all four of them in the CFP, but Ohio State is the only one that has been challenged enough to host a 5-8 game IMO. Of course, whover wins the B1G deserves the bye, but the other two will have a loss to the good team they played without a marquee win at all (unless Oregon losses the B1G CCG). So, I am pointing fingers at Indiana and Penn State.

Vanderbilt lost to Georgia State and LSU lost to USC, which were bad losses. Not what I am talking about though, as neither of those teams will be in the CFP.

Who did Alabama lose to? Who did Ole Miss lose to?

Alabama lost to Vandy. A not terrible but average team.

Ole Miss lost to Kentucky a GODAWFUL TEAM.

Alabama also has 4 top 25 wins. Nobody else in the country has more than 2.

Alabama lost @ Vandy and @ Tennessee, and Ole Miss lost to Kentucky and @ LSU. I get your point, but they both also have beaten Georgia which is better than any team Indiana or Penn State have beaten. No biggee though. Like I said, it will shake out in the wash. I don't care about Ole Miss, and I am cool with Alabama playing @ Indiana, @ Penn State, @ Ohio State, @ Oregon, etc. I think they can manage to hang around with any of those teams. :)

Why is Ohio State #1? The only good team they faced, they lost

Oregon has 2 wins over playoff teams. Good luck finding another team with that.

Bama would get wrecked @ Oregon, but it's cool for y'all to have hope.

Oregon is good, but they are not any kind of super team like you seem to think. Not even the best Oregon team in the past two decades or so IMO.

FWIW, Alabama has as good of a ROAD win in the B1G (42-10 @ Wisconsin (5-4) as Oregon, Indiana or Penn State do so far this year. Oregon plays @ Wisconsin this week. Will be interested to see how they do in that game. If they kick the crap out of Bucky like 'Bama did, I might change my mind.

My guess is that ANY of these B1G teams would rather see another team besides Alabama roll in for a first round game. I'm not saying Alabama would automatically beat any of them, but the home team might not even be favored (specifically IU or PSU). I think Oregon or Ohio State would be favored slightly.
