We finally have a money cannon!

Serious question. Over/Under $12 million for him?

The money cannon is now empty lol, poor kid is gonna be under water behind a mediocre OL with a mediocre running game and below mediocre WRs. Similar to Dante Moore at UCLA.

Michigan has the #2 offensive tackle in this class. But they'll need to portal some players to protect him.

Freshman OL often struggle, it's not ideal to lean on them.

Is there enough money left to buy a competent OL AND a decent WR core? That's the big question. Even if they can get the OL sending a true freshman out with the WRs you currently have isn't gonna be pretty.

Defensive depth is still a glaring issue, that has to be addressed too.

Didn’t we flip his no.1 WR from Pitt too?

Nah, from the "reports" that was entirely made up. My guess is somewhere around $4-5 million.

If it's as reported how does the "per year" work they are saying 4 years, does that mean he does not get paid until the year is over each year to make sure he doesn't bail on the deal? I have a hard time believing any recruit is agreeing to that.

They absolutely have to do that, there's no question about it. If they don't, he'll be running for his life. But I suspect Moore, who is an OL player and started as an OL coach, knows that. He has to hit the portal hard for a few things this offseason -- WR's and OL transfers.

Michigan is going to have to functionally buy a recruiting class that didn't exist in the 2022/23 classes.

I think they can land OL in the portal. Skeptical about WRs though. Any legit portal WR would be taking a big risk going to play for a coaching staff who hasn't shown they know what they are doing and also with a Freshman QB. That's not exactly ideal for a kid who's probably trying to show out to get to the NFL.

Weirdly, this staff has been passing WAY too much given the level of players we have at the QB and WR position. Way more than we did with JJ. I don't think they'd get Underwood to commit unless they communicated that they were going to actually let him throw.
