Fuck the recruiting thread, this deserves its own. #1 player in the nation QB Bryce Underwood flipping to Michigan!

It is. Pre NIL you could possibly see this seriously move the needle in a earth shattering way. Problem here is you’ve still got a coaching staff who’s shown nothing. Underwood might bring a few of his friends along but currently Michigan isn’t landing any other high high level recruits unless they pay them as well and pay them well with the precedent this sets for them. They are gonna have to work magic with the transfer portal like I said it’s gonna take 2-3 years for them to get a roster that’s playoff caliber if they play things right.
Michigan has never been a big NIL player until now. It was almost non-existent. Gives me hope we can bring some big time recruits in now. Underwood is our 2nd 5 star kid for the 2025 class. For Michigan -- that is huge. We don't get multiple 5 star kid often.

Administration will never bend on the academic stuff, so we still will be at a disadvantage in that area, but I can't complain, if our new collective was able to pull this off. If the administration gives the go ahead for this -- Michigan will be a player on a ton of kids, because we have an endless stream of big money alumni.

Will be interesting to see if they are willing to spend a bunch on other glaring areas of need. QB is a sexy position to spend a lot of money on. I think it’s gonna take a good sized bag to convince any top portal WRs to go there at the moment.

Doesn’t mean he’s gonna unload 12 mil or whatever on a bunch of players though. Lots of schools have loaded alumni but NIL is a funny thing when it comes to getting those loaded alumni to actually dive deep into it.
I have zero idea and zero insight into Michigan's collective or who is willing to donate what. I can say with certainty -- IF Michigan's administration gave the go ahead for the football team collective to start doing deals like this -- very few teams can match the financial backing Michigan will have.

The guy who the collective thanked, $10 million to that guy is like $10 to you and I.

To put it in perspective how much money $200 billion is -- if you were to start right now, it'd take roughly 285 years to count from 1 to 200 billion.

Yes I understand he has a laughable amount of money but like I said who knows how much he’s actually willing to use on a college football team.

Yeah -- I don't know? I honestly didn't think Underwood would go to UM. I thought he wanted out from Belleville (Belleville is 10-15 minutes from UM)

Michigan needs alot of help, but a top QB can really help them flip other kids and help recruit kids in the future. Wish they could have got this done a lot sooner.

I truly have no idea either. The guy who I guarantee will be shelling out money if UM is all in on this NIL stuff is Stephen Ross. He owns the Dolphins. He has given so much money to Michigan he has buildings name after him. I know for certain he has given the athletic department $100 million in the past.

Great, but he's gonna need someone to throw to and hand the ball off to. Michigan needs a lot of pieces

how's he a punk?
Have you watched him during a game? Total selfish bitch just like Deion's pos sons. I never said he wasn't a good player. What I am saying is he a punk ass bitch. You can be a good player and an asshole at the same time.

Would be cool if they flip the WR as well, but they're gonna have to get at least another established WR or two IMO. I think Tyler Morris is a decent receiver, but given the conditions of the offense (poor scheme, poor protection and QB play) they haven't really been able to get him the ball.

I just watched this kid play live last Friday. He was by far the best player on the field.

Ask OU about the #1 5 star qb in the class playing behind a bad one line. Hasn't worked out so well.

NIL played a huge part in keeping together your 2023 team. Those kids were very well paid.

If you are relying on a freshman OT, you are already in trouble.
Having a 5* QB is great, but putting him on a team with shitty talent around him is basically putting a Ferrari engine in a riding mower. Especially with what they're losing after this season, they have a long, long way to go.
