Good bye Ryan Day

I just think it’s hilarious that Cryin’ Day is such a big pussy that he lets so many people calling him a pussy get in his head so much he completely changed his team’s offensive identity to try and beat their lesser talented biggest rival with smash mouth football and it failed hard, and everyone is still calling him a pussy

I believe he was actually from Canada. That game Michigan's starting QB was injured and couldn't play and tosu was loaded with NFL talent. That was a major upset
Yep. I remember Terry Glenn flapping his gums the week leading up to that game, guaranteeing a win and he didnt do jack shit in that game

Was that the Tim Biakabatuka 300 yard game?

313. UM won that one 31-23. 1996 was 13-9, with Michigan's lone TD coming off that long catch and run on a slant by Tai Streets

I’ll say it again those losses were unforgivable but those were still reasonably good Michigan teams that just underachieved.

This loss is MUCH worse than either of those. This is just a borderline bad Michigan team to begin with who was beat up and missing their 2 best players.

People get way too fixated that Day wins 10 l/11 games a year. The schedule most years all you have to do with the talent you can recruit at Ohio State is avoid slip ups against bad teams. You are really only playing 2 maybe 3 teams a year that can somewhat match up talent wise. Day has proven he can’t win the big ones. He beat 2 “top 5” teams this year but that was James Franklin and fucking Indiana who coasted to 11 wins with one of it not the worst P4 schedules.

Good news is you get a year off from the class of the B1G.

This is the worst I've felt after a Michigan loss since 95. But this isn't the worst lost in program history.
I went to the BYU @ Fresno State game that day. There was an Ohio State lady sitting in front of me fretting about the Ohio State loss with her friend. Interesting game too, as Steve Sarkisian (Yes, that Sark!) set the NCAA single game percentage record (minimum of 15 passes I believe) going 31/34 for the Cougars that day.

Same, you still hilariously get the “but we are in the playoff still!” Sunshine crowd but it’s hard to get excited for a extended playoff when you know it’s gonna be 1 game or maybe we get lucky with a matchup 2 games and done. Getting to the final 12 or 8 does nothing for me and I’m sure most fans feel that way too.

If clown shoes even sends them out to attempt a FG in the playoff he should be fired on the spot. I assure he will play for a FG at least once again though with a kicker who misses 35 yarders.

I’d laugh pretty hard if you lost to James Franklin in the B1G title game, he’s somehow worse than Day and pissing down his leg in big games

It'll be a de facto road game, so we'll see how Oregon does in a hostile environment.

I've had time to cool off and think about the situation.. Unless Ohio State gets blown out in the first round, you have to give Day another season.

Can't fire Day unless he starts dropping 3 or 4 losses and missing the CFP.

Day has never lost more than 2 games. Cooper did that 9 times in 13 seasons.

If we lose in the CFP first round and he sticks with Chip and Frye in the offseason, he has exactly one more season.
