The ACC

I know, right. They know how to stink up the joint.

I live in ACC country, and most of the games I have been to have been at ACC stadiums. But yeah. The conference looks beyond bad.

I think it's hard for ban evader Al to understand that not everyone nut hugs the conference their favorite team is in.

Idgaf that the ACC sucks. They have sucked in football my entire life and they will continue to suck until it dies.

And there's a good chance, in the final AP poll, the highest ranked ACC isn't going to be one of those two.
You mean Miami, who is about to lose their bowl?

If Miami wins, they will likely be the highest ranked team out of the ACC. The game isn't over though.

Just merge with the Big12 already.

Would be more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

I think that's pretty much the hope for some of us stuck in this purgatory once a few ACC schools bounce to the P2. It's really the only realistic option imo to keep close to the number of bids the P2/network(s) are eventually want guaranteed.

Merging two mediocre conferences just produces a larger mediocre conference. No?

Making an undisputed 3rd best. I'm not sure every team from the ACC will be along for the ride. Which I'm sure the networks wouldn't mind. But at the end of the day we are at their mercy.

Absolutely. I just don't see it increasing the per school payout by combining them. Maybe the media would pay more. But is is already full of games that don't crack the 4 million viewer threshold.

It could well increase the payout in hoops...depending on which basketball brands from both head to the B1G and SEC. Only problem with that is the B1G and the SEC already have plenty of football programs that resemble the Big 12/ACC hoops blue bloods in that sport. I don't see the media wanting more football inventory of games like Duke vs Minnesota or Kansas vs Rutgers. They already have plenty of Purdue vs Maryland.
