NFL WEEKLY GAME THREAD Championship Sunday - NFC & AFC Championship Games 2025

You really think the refs are going to have laser point level accuracy spotting the ball on a tush push? Delusional. It's one of the few disadvantages to running it on 4th down.

Once again explain how the ref on the OPPOSITE SIDE who had not even a chance at a view of the ball can overturn the ref who could possibly see the ball and awarded a 1st down? Shove that homer shit up your ass.

"Automatic video review on all scoring plays and turnovers". The NFL doesn't even follow its own damn rules.

I don't think the NFL scores a turnover on downs as a turnover, technically. The issue on the push is it was reviewed but it's a mass of bodies, so whatever the call on the field is has very strong odds of standing.

The non stop favorable calls the Chiefs get are why bounty systems like the Saints got in trouble for are good for the sport. Blaine Gabbert won’t get those ridiculous gifts, keep that in mind Eagles defenders

Unless, of course, the NFL is cool with fans believing the league and the refs are putting their thumbs on the scale for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and increasingly questioning whether this $20 billion industry is any more genuine than WWE.

I like how you ignore explaining how the ref who has no possible view of the ball was allowed to veto the 1st down called by the only ref who could possibly see the ball

It wasn't just that blatantly rigged 4th down call. The Bills were getting ticky tack spots all night. I can think of at least 4 times where it looked like they clearly had a 1st down and theyd move the ball back short of the marker.

That and the “catch” inside the 5 wasn’t a catch. The Chiefs are a damn good team. They’re pretty well unbeatable when the league decides to tell the refs to favor them

Yep, The chiefs are good enough where all it takes is 1 or 2 key blatant bad calls to shift the tide in their favor. They went a little overboard against Houston stroking Mahomes off, maybe they "dialed it back" a little vs Buffalo but in the end they still comically handed them the 2 biggest calls of the game which clearly shoulda gone Buffalos way.

I FULLY expect a couple of phantom hold calls to negate big Saquon runs to keep the Eagles at bay. The NFL is all in on the threepeat no way Philly is allowed to win.

Hopefully they over correct.

I don't. I fully acknowledge the refs are incompetent spotting the ball. That's a problem on just normal plays, let a lone a shitshow like a tush push. Don't step on a landmine in a minefield and be mad it blew up on you. It's a competition involving human refs, the Bills aren't victims.

Live by the sword, you die by the sword.

That's the logic i'd expect a homer to come up with

Common sense the ref who is the only one who could possibly see the ball should be the ref that makes that call. He signaled 1st down and somehow got vetoed by the Ref who could only see Allen's backside and had zero chance of seeing the ball.

Calls like that really aren't helping slow down the claims that the NFL is rigging it as much as possible for the Chiefs to win.

I don’t know why Chiefs fans get so defensive. I’d love it if all of a sudden every call started going the Falcons way.

I’m not gonna sit here and pretend that UGA hasn’t gotten some generous calls when they don’t play Bama these last few years
