IMO he was the only reason Tennessee didn't get embarrassed by more against us. The passing stats were ugly but he made some plays with his feet to keep it "closer" than it shoulda been.

Yeah, he made some plays with his legs, I'll give him that, but he was pretty terrible otherwise. I don't get the hype with him.

He's definitely been overrated so far. It's all the Size & Athleticism projectability that still gets him the hype. He's basically rolling off of that "LOOK HES BIG AND FAST!" HS hype still.

Nico MIGHT be trying to get ALL he can WHILE he can tbh. Some of it hasn’t been his fault ,WR’s were not good/OT’s struggled in pass protection, his “stock” may not be climbing as high as he wanted so he may be trying to pocket as much as possible

He hasn't been good in his two seasons. Also, that story was true. Dude is holding out of practice as we speak. I don't blame him, get as much as you can, but he reportedly made $2.5M last year. If you wanna get paid like a pro, you're gonna get criticized like a pro.

it's his second season there but he's fresh off his first season as a starter..
and yeah i guess it is true, but ON3 seems to really be hammering it at this point.
TN gonna mess around and let him walk.. and if he finds the right spot, watch out..

Heupel has been good with QB's forever. Hell he even got Joe Milton drafted of all people. Nico wasn't great last year. Is he better than the backup QB? Yeah probably, so if you don't pay him you're probably declining at that position overall. But he's done nothing to expect a raise.
