Caps-Canes looks to be one hell of a series. Those two teams are gonna beat the hell out of each other while the Panthers breeze through whoever wins that Ontario series. It remains to be seen if that toughens them up for the Panthers or tires them out...

Yea, if you’re not skating with your knees bent or playing in front of the net, probably the only way you’re not apt to get a random skate.

Kudos to the guys who don’t wear cages, shoulder pads or neck guards though. I’ve got a job to go to in the morning. Know two guys who blocked a shot in their chest and were in a wooden box the next day, which is why I wear shoulder pads. Can’t even count the muppets who got teeth knocked out / black eyes from no cage trying to act like they just blocked the game winning shot to win the cup.

Oettinger made some enormous saves down the stretch, too.

Also, kudos to that Dallas crowd. After that first goal by Rantanen, the fans boosted the players energy.
 
As a goalie, I'm always going to sympathize and side with the tenders. What's happening with Connor Hellebuyck is just wild. They aren't playing great in front of him, but it's hard to argue he hasn't sucked the energy out of that team this series. MVP regular season to being a sieve in round one once again. Hate to see it.
