The guys playing in front of Otter got very sloppy, too.

It happens at pretty much every business - when a top employee carries productivity, the people around him become accustomed to relying on that productivity and go on cruise control. Then the whole operation gets punched in the face when that top employee's productivity goes missing. Pulling Otter early was a clear message to the other guys that "he's not here, so you guys need to work harder; stop taking Otter for granted". Unfortunately for Dallas, that message was too late and his replacement couldn't hold the fort.

Hard to blame Otter on either

Games 2-4 the team had a whopping 2 goals on Stu Skinner lol

Granted I don’t think he’s a great coach, posting that a guy gets to the conference finals almost every year and wins almost half the games isn’t the dig that guy was probably going for…

Good coach but he won’t win you a cup. Has never made it past 50% of the way there in the conference finals.

Idk if it’s his fault a bunch of guys went missing against EDM. Could be effort or the system, I’m not really sure. But he rocks in game 7s!!!

I watched parts of it. Pretty even game 1 from what I saw.

Too many dumb penalties on both sides, though; and I expect the refs will put their whistles away and let Marchand and Perry have a lightsaber duel with their sticks at center ice by the time we get to game 6.

The most bullshit 'goalie interference' call I've seen in awhile though. Without that, it's a tie game.
