My mom got remarried and the dude died like 8 years ago. Dude is in a box in my mom’s closet. When she dies and if his real kids don’t want him. What do I do with him.

Toilet is an option

Did you like him?

1. No --> Trash
2. Don't really care --> sprinkle them in your garden or nearby park.
3. Yes / nice guy --> Take them to a nice place where he or you enjoyed life, and scatter them.

Toilet is disrespectful and could invite paranormal occult pushback.

I suggest a lake or river, an you can confirm ashes disposal protocol on your city/county/state website for ashes disposal.

My cats ashes sit in an urn in my living room.

Human ashes get dealt with according to the wishes of the deceased. Weird your stepdad wanted to spend eternity in a closet.

He wanted to be in the lake of his 55Plus community. But they have rules. Fucking hoa. And I’m not driving to Florida to do it now

My grandmas ashes are in an urn in my parents living room. Sometimes I like to give em a little shake.

She had a hip replacement and the crematorium doesn’t get hot enough to melt titanium. And I’m entertained easily at times.

Extract the titanium and make cartridges out of it.

You treat it like latex paint. Throw some kitty litter on him and put him out on the curb for trash day.

Are you allowed to just dump them legally?
No, you need to do your homework. You can't dump them in a water source or in most public places because it's considered a health hazard. But it's not the kind of thing they post on a sign right next to "keep off the grass."
