Well Coach Rolo said his number one objective when coming to Wazzu was finding a way not to lose the Apple Cup every year. I guess this is a nice strategy.

Colorado plays USC next week in a huge game in the PAC 12 South. Oregon plays Oregon State. Washington plays Washington State

The chances of UW/WSU playing seem bleak at this point.

The new question is can UW find a willing partner from one of the other conferences when any of them has a covid cancellation if they cannot find one from within the conference?

Now that the Pac12 has paved the way for teams to be able to go outside of the conference there are all sorts of possibilities provided other conferences are also as open.

According to multiple reporters with ESPN, Washington reached out to BYU but BYU has turned down the offer to schedule a game this weekend.
 
Reporting here that BYU is interested. Also San Diego State is possible. Watching what may happen to Utah with all of the issues ASU is having.

I'll take anything at this point.

Play SDSU. In all honesty, they are probably every bit as good as BYU. Don’t have the headache of dealing with BYU

I guess they're doing the contact tracing. So far, it looks to be an isolated case and the player was immediately quarantined. The problem appears to be that he flew with the team to Utah. So they have to see what the contact tracing shows.
 
Well DAMN... USC/Colorado game cancelled because USC doesn't have enough schollie players available due to positive tests AND contact tracing... :gaah:
