Aloha Stadium has been condemned

Does this mean the Hawaii bowl played on Christmas Eve isn’t going to happen?

In the same way the Michigan-Ohio State game didn’t happen on Saturday.

Was it just me or did it always seem like garbage and debris were swirling around the field?

That will always be Hawaii football and where they played to me. That said, they could prob play at a high school field for a couple years til the new joint is completed, crowds never seemed to be that big to me.
Always thought Hawaii would have a Miami (1980's) kind of run in em just from location alone. I thought that UH would be very attractive for guys to go to school, play ball ect. but... through time I think we have learned that Miami only reaches that "elite" status when they are cheating and running hooker boats. Maybe if UH would do some of that then they would have some "elite" level years as well.

I’m am for that too!

I want to see how South Pacific swag compares to Miami swag!

Oh yeah. Perhaps a co-favorite is "I Saw Her Standing There", a 45 I bought at F.W. Woolworth.

in early 64

Good ol' days... 45s - I bought A LOT of them along with the 33s LPs! :headbanger:
Don't we all wish we'd have kept all of them...and kept both the vinyl and cover in top condition instead of just chunking them everywhere.

I had the original "Meet the Beatles" album an their "White" album. Have no frickin' idea where they wound up. Seems like a lot of my 45s were Neil Diamond and Johnny Rivers.

I just remember watching the Jeep Aloha Bowl every Christmas Morning

I used to think the same thing. I mean, who doesn't want to live in Hawai'i for at least a few years?

But it would be pretty costly for family and friends to attend games.

Hawai'i has a pretty sinister side to it while most people just see the beauty and become tourists.

Read the article.
Meh adding 10k temp seating at Manoa shouldn't be THAT hard to do for a couple years use. Not ideal granted but...

You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello!

The flip side of the 45 is, "I am the Walrus", my favorite song of their's. Damn good 45.

U R old too.

At least you're not talking about 78s.

Wait, OP's name is 78Cyclones!

You're all ancient!

That sucks. It looked like a cool stadium. I always like watching the Hawaii bowl on Christmas Eve. Sucks its not happening this year and probably won't ever be played at that stadium again.
it had some amount of cool like the fact the stands moved and could be conformed to football or baseball.
otherwise it was kinda dumpy

there was because of the design there were areas where the air swirled and so when they scored the fans would drop like confetti or something from the upper deck bridges
