What kind of average are you sporting?
 
Windy as fuck.....lights just flickered so we might be having a power bump soon.
 
I'm enjoying the no snow so far. Looks like maybe some on Sunday, but then not any more until the 25th per the TWC. I'm sure that will change though. I thought a polar vortex was to come, but it's not forecasted yet.

Good morning good people. Just got the word that my wife's closest friend died from Covid. That's now two people that were our closest friends in Texas. He was 65. No underlying problems when he caught the virus. He was in the hospital for more than a month. His lungs collapsed for the 4th time on Monday and I guess that did him in.

I'm looking around for a place to get the Covid vaccine. I can't take the time to drive a long distance because I can only be away from my wife for a short period of time. I might just have to pay for an all day nurse to take care of her and bite the bullet.

The person I'm named for died in 1919 from the flu virus. I don't want to go out that way.

Thought for the day: I prefer going out in the saddle, but unfortunately I can't get up on the horse anymore.

Everything i heard was warmer and wetter this winter.

Thanks to last night I believe a 94/95 (I am sure next week I will blow it and lower it way down). This is Candlepin bowling so I will certainly take that average. Though I am sure I will get it back down to the mid 70s low 80s when the season is over

I've only seen a candlepin alley once when I was a child.

I'd like to try it some time.
 
Little Guy has been a bit of a fussy sleeper of late. Jerk was up til practically 2AM before finally calling it quits. At least he stayed asleep. Just need to get him to fall asleep earlier, now.

Almost finished putting away the Christmas decorations. Have a few more little things to get into containers, then we can get the rest of the stuff up in the attic. Finally took the tree down yesterday.

It's a lot of fun but can be very very frustrating since the pins are so far apart and you have to hit them perfectly basically every time if you want to do well. Unlike 10 pin where you can be about a foot off and potentially still get a strike... If you are more than an inch off in candlepin you most likely will only knock one pin down..

Get THREE rolls a frame so that's nice

I keep hearing this Polar Vortex stuff by the end of this week or start of next, but the temps aren't showing that much different than it has been and still warmer than it usually is this time of year. I'll take the warmer and wetter (if it's rain). Last I knew for this La Nina, it would be wetter, but it was TBD about the temperature. I'm guessing they're siding with warmer now.

Agreed. I don't see any dramatic changes in the forecast either

The weather has become just like the rest of the news, they want Sky Is Falling ratings
